It seems like they didn't properly test the 3DS yeah. Also they complained about the 3-5 hours on Vita but still gave it a perfect 5 and they said 3-5 hours is bad for a nintendo handheld. That to me smells like different standards.

Anyway I think the Vita is the better device too (it's more expensive so it should be) but that is apart from the software because the 3DS wins in that respect. Vita still has to build up a strong software library and 3DS needs a hardware revision (better battery life, an extra control stick) imo.

Yeah I found this rather suspicious too about the scores for battery life.

On the other hand though I have seen plenty of reviewers give the 3DS a free pass in other areas just because it is Nintendo.

Oh that I can agree with, a system being twice as powerful and still having the same battery life is very impressive. But, giving it a perfect score of 5, when they still said it could have had a better battery life didn't seem right

Yes 3DS is capable of good graphics, dude i played Reseident Evil revelations and let me tell you its the best looking handheld game i have ever seen, its just gorgeous.

Of course i only have Rayman on Vita and gravity Daze is getting a release soon so that will beat it, anyways my point is 3DS is capable of good graphics.

Also, Vita would have been absolutely amazing, had it featured an open source OS akin to Linux and it's baby Android ;) Having been dabbling in CM compiling on several installations of dualboot/VMware W7/Ubuntu derivative setups, over the last month, I've come to realise just how much potential, consumers never get to see in their electronics...

I own an LGE Optimus 2X (G2X) phone and by birth, it's a buggy Nvidia Tegra 2 closed source nightmare, with unstable performance and signal/wireless drops....

Thanks to the Cyanogenmod team and the technically endowed people, who purchased this crappy phone and built their own Kangs from CM, I now own a phone that is not only more stable, fast and power efficient; but also running Android 4.03 - ICS, eventhough it's not out for the phone.

It's an alpha release but stable enough for daily use, eventhough several drivers need reverse engineering, thank you very much Nvidia.

I know it's an impossible dream but Vita would be an amazing device with policies similar to Google Android :)

Well the fact it been out longer there is no doubt it would have a slight edge over in libary though I havent seen much that intrest me for 3ds thats out now. I mean its just resident evil adn thats it.I dont care for mario anymore and probly will never play another one unless they make something like super paper mario for the wii again. I wouldint say its a hands down win in libary but it does have more options. However I will say PS vita had more launch games I was interested then what 3ds had.

Cool, the 3DS still has better games and more available hands down. Its not a contest right now. What you like more is fine, no hate there but this contest is not a contest.

psp has a great library. PS vita just came out so the library isint going to be huge but I will say had a better launch.

Thing is that you always have to keep in mind parents. A parent will always buy their children a 3DS or a DS over a Psp any day because the PsP vita is more fragile and doesn't have mario or pokemon. PsP Vita is more for a more of a teen to mature audience while the 3DS is like an everyone's thing but the Vita is actually quite better in terms of a gaming system but in the end the games will determine what's worth it or not and neither are worth buying at the moment.

CNET is stupid and shouldn't be taken serious at all. The 3ds is doing well and am I loving RE and mario kart. The Vita while it has great hardware is lacking in games plain and simple. the 1.4 games attachment ratio is proof of this. I have yet to buy a game for it, but I do giveprops to sony for having plenty of demos and other things i can downlod to keep me busy. on a side note its not that games like uncharted aren't good just not 50$ good i would gladly pick it up for 25$. cause single player with a script that does not live up to series and no multi just seems like a rip off at $50

Are you trying to hold him to a different standard because he is a sheep? I see almost all of the other mods showing their own personal bias towards different systems as well, but nobody calls them out because of it.

I'm sorry that was just too biased for me to watch the whole thing, the vita is great and all but it does not have a better game library, yeah it has the Psn, but the 3ds has the DS and the eshop and it's current library. Sorry but the vita should of lost that round not have backwards compatibility alone, I do not want to have to rebuy my Psp game and they still don't and probably will never have kh on the psnlayton2012
