Udsen - this is about principles, not fanboyism. As a consumer I don't like being lied to. If you've been follwing Sony since the start of their foray in to the gaming world you'd know well my reasons for doing what I do.

Sometimes principles outweigh the desire to game - and to be honest, do I need a PS3 when I have everything else? for what? MGS4: Geriatric stealth shooter where AI can't see you opening a garbage bin 6 inches when they're 2 feet away? FF? it's just a brand to me now, the games lost their spirit somewhere after 7 for me (my opinion).

Yeah, MS is better with charging for online and wireless internet. 2 things both other consoles do for free/built in. I feel pretty valued when I get charged 50 dollars a year. That's milking. You're required to pay 50 dollars a year if you want to do something as simple as online play. You aren't required to buy a DS3.

As for your little uninformed explaination of the games you listed, that's fanboyism. Your "principles" *cough*Fanboy*cough* go as far as to dissect PS3 games? LOL?

at least ms made it so if the recharger dies you can just buy the recharger instead of buying another new controller if it dies. it will eventually die out after so many uses after awhile. also have the option of using AA batteries. i use to use the 360 recharger, but instead i started to use rechargeable AA batteries since of my wii.

All things considered, I'm glad I waited to buy a PS3.

I think a company not having the foresight to settle a lawsuit (that they knew had to be settled) and instead passing the "savings" onto the consumer is milking. I find the comparisons in this thread hilarious. All companies milk you, MS, Sony, Nintendo, Home Depot, etc... Yet I see people unwilling to admit (with a few notable exceptions) that Sony made a horrible decision and is not taking early adapters into mind with the new controller. That is my point.

i feel MS online fee is fair for the services provided. i owned a PS3 at launch (last sony console i'll buy in to the hype for) and own a Wii and neither hold a candle to xbl. i work for a living and 50$ is a drop in the hat, and one i'm totally comfortable paying. i'd pay for PSN too, and Wii online if the services justified the cost - but they don't. not in the least.

if you missed the flow of my response i apologize. my explanation of the games was in response to your 'gaming value' statement. i was explaining why to me - the PS3 lacks gaming value when I already have all other consoles and none of the PS3 exclusives interest me apart from littlebigplanet.

Worse, better, these are all value comparisons. I am not making one. I am just simply stating this is milkage by Sony. And yes, as I have stated, MS and Sony made bad decisions with regards to gamers and our needs. Who is worse? To me about the same. For every MS fault I can show you a Sony fault and vice versa. That is why I own all systems and just have fun. ;)

ubisoft's s****y version of ue3 mixed with some good ol bottlenecking ps3. it will be the last rainbow game to use the engine.

and i dont have place for a wireless hub where my 360 (used to) sit.

it's fantastic that the PS3 has wifi built in, but it's a straw-man argument - you're oversimplifying the issue to try to tilt the argument in your favor while ignoring the root of the argument and the reason why people have to buy a DS3 to get rumble if they want.

Rumble won't save the PS3.
