But you can swim in other parts of the game of which the water looks just as good.
It is still one hell of an accomplishment on consoles though.

Show me a vid of Uncharted 2 that looks better than that. I mean fully in water with sunshafts piercing the water ect.
This easily...except with the sunshaft thingy man :P

DF didnt find crysis 2 to the best looking console game, great news and true.
if anything DF didnt even find the game to be on top 10 for best graphics on consoles.
"The crucial thing is that both are phenomenally attractive games, producing effects quite different and in many ways more advanced than anything we've seen elsewhere on console. We all wanted Crysis on console to be an event, a showcase release: by and large, Crytek has delivered, and those cutting edge visuals are backed by a truly impressive game design."

thats the problem here, all the people who are saying crysis 2 > kz3 are either lying to them selves or never played kz3.The problem here is that there is thing called opinion and going by that,by people who played it and reviewers,Crysis 2 is at LEAST as impressive looking as KZ3.Look,I don't mind opinions and whats best looking game for you is none of my bizz but fact is Crysis 2 is beautiful game,as beautiful as any other and thats all there needs to be on the subject. No "LOL if you think that thing I have never played looks better than KZ3".

Like I told your fellow Lemming Bus a Bus, you guys arent fooling anyone that actually played the game. KZ3 curbstomps this game visually. Once you ACTUALLY play C2 you'll be dissapointed.
News flash I just finished up about an hour or so in the campaign and then spent maybe another hour in multiplayer. The game is flat out GORGEOUS in both SP and MP. Disappointed? :lol:Yes I played KZ3 and while it does look good it just isn't in the same league and those shots above us only reinforce my position on the matter.
By the way I played on a map I think it was the wall street map. No thats not true imo, I have played and beat Killzone3 and it looks NOWHERE near as good as Crysis2 does.
You sayign Alan Wake looks better then Crysis2 is even more ridicolous.. I lvoed Alan Wake but that did not have Crysis2 level graphics, either does KZ3.

that's why PS3 is the future, imho.

It's funny how fun selective reading can be
In these situations, it seems that it is the Xbox 360 version that has the most difficulties, though there's no mistaking that both platforms seem to lag badly in much the same areas. Interestingly, the really poor-performing sections do seem isolated to specific areas in the campaign, and from the hive infiltration level onwards things seemed to improve, but it's quite difficult to believe that those areas of the game got through QA without someone, somewhere raising the red flag.
The key to progression through these troublesome areas is to employ stealth rather than a balls-out frontal assault, but in a game that places so much weight on presenting different tactical strategies for potential flashpoints, it's disappointing that it's technical issues that are effectively narrowing down the available options. In conclusion, it's fair to say that Crytek has done enough to prove that Crysis can run on consoles - either of them in fact - and certainly the issues the game has in terms of bizarre glitches, performance drops, geometry pop-in and such-like are hardly exclusive to one platform. On balance, 360 has the edge in terms of visuals and general performance, but PS3 more than holds its own, bettering the Microsoft platform in some areas.
Besides that The green is what i've been saying all along, The blue is what I like doing, just throwing on armor and just ripping shi up.

Straight 360 shots.
I know the guy said that, but since the beyond posters thought it might be PC shots, they probably arent the best to use.Seriously go read the article before you say something. According to them it goes like this: PS3: Lower average framerate, but performs better in chaotic situations. Better texture filtering than the 360, and has better shadows close up. Some pop-in, no screen tear, better 3D. 360: better average frame rate, but performs worse in fights, dropping down to 15fps. Higher resolution, better shadows far away. Little to no AF compared to the PS3. Some pop-in, some screen tear. This what THEY said not me. If you are not a fanboy this is obviously a tie as both have pros and cons.as the comparison clearly states, the 360 version is better both visually and performance-wise.
man, the ps3 version looks like it's smeared with vaseline all over the place < and ps3 seems to be missing shadows on the garbage bag area. embarrassing.

OK, so I just got my copies from Gamefly like an hour ago. I have both the Ps3 and 360 versions. I don't get what the fuss is about:? There are honestly much better looking games than this on consoles. This does not hold a candle to KZ3, UC2, GOW3, Alan Wake, hell, Heavy Rain looks better. Most overated title ever when it comes to visuals. With that said, I will be buying the 360 version because I like the higher resolution. Anyone with both consoles will know I am telling the truth when I say those games look better. Its just so inconsistant and it doesn't make your jaw drop. Don't rate KZ3 by screens, you really have to play it to compare. One thing I really like about this game is the open ended nature of the environment, besides that, I see games that look far better on consoles.
