Crysis 2 intro on 360 (Looks fantastic)

I was extremely let down by the multiplayer demo on PS3, but seeing this new single player footage on the 360 has me wanting the game again. Also, pay attention at the achievement at the end, lol.

With that, my hope for a decent campaign that lives up to it's budget is restored. I'll probably be picking it up on the 360 just for the single player alone.

Yeah, last night I was amazed by how bad the multiplayer was on the PS3, but it turns out that there is a reason why people say this game is all about the campaign. Seeing this footage put my worries to bed, as all I really wanted was a great campaign anyway. 360 version for me.

Getting the 360 version, fantastic, i honestly considered getting a pc for this, but that looks great. Now i dont have to :)

Well, the game has been leaked, it shows button commands for the 360 controller and has an achievement at the end. I would say it is more than legit, and you are right, it looks fantastic for a console game. Up there with the best, from what I can tell. It sure caused me to do a turn around from writing the game off totally, to wanting it again on day one. Beyond the visuals, the campaign just looks fun.

I have to say I've been on again off again skeptical about this game for consoles and the pc but after watching that rather riveting opening I actually more excited than I've ever been. Along with the fact that my new gaming rig should arrive this coming Tues. I think it's safe to say this might have to be the first new game I try out on it.

Yeah, pretty funny stuff.

I imagine the SP is going to look better than the MP. That's usually the case anyway. I have no desire to play the MP, so the SP campaign is all I'm interested in hearing about before deciding wither to buy, rent, or skip.

I'll probably wait for a price drop if I decide to buy though.

The intro and first level are one of the few things I like about the game. Everything else is trash so far.

I did notice something odd about that video. The xbox demo hud and energy bar doesn't move but the pc and ps3 one's do. Maybe the 360 demo was an older build or that video on the op is a pc running the 360 config.

No. it doesn't look better than Shogun 2, or Crysis 1 (technically), or Arma 2, or Stalker modded. But I agree, it does look amazing for console.

I agree, but not technically. Lighting and SSAO is superior though, but Crysis 1 has ridiculous amount of foilage and pushes upwards to 3 million polygons, while Crysis 2 peaks at 1.7 million polygons.

Yap...huge number of trees mean alot of bandwidth meaning consoles don't have none especially when game is deferred renderer(Crysis 2,KZ3 etc.).But they still push good amount of trees and bushes,and they swing and they cast shadows in real time.GG was careful not to do it because they probably had no BW to spare,thats why jungle is not lush.

And they say KZ3 looks better. Well sure, when you discount the extremely linear corridor-shooter limitations and 6 hour length (Took me 6hr 23 mins) compared to Crysis' at least slightly more free areas with an actualy 10-12 hour length , I can say crysis had done less sacrifice by going sub-HD.

And this is coming from someone who owns both 360+PS3 and has KZ3.
