The other thing that had me leary was Warhead's "better looking and better running" when really they just downgraded the draw distance massively as well as the textures and then made the lighting a little better. blues35301

Go load up "Call me Ishmael" and get to the first open bay and notice the crappy draw distance compared to Crysis' open bay areas. Its foggy on purpose and no its not for art direction. Hell do some googling of Crysis vs Warhead side by sides and all the downgrading its been widely discussed and noted except for by people who cherry pick very small instances where there is less margin of downgrade.

crysis shines in its SP, and has some of the most unique gameplay in the FPS genre.

crysis 2 went from being graphically hyped to high heaven, to being passed off as a big meh, to end up being one of the games that tie for 2nd best looking console game :P it's been a roller coaster ride of hype and hating lol I'm going to wait for the reviews, but it's looking like I'll be picking this up :D

Ok, I've played the beta today and I can say your fears are really unfounded. First the lean. It's different, but not different in a bad way. It's like using your iron sights but from behind a corner. It doesn't confuse the player or anything control wise. You can hold the right mouse for iron sights as well. I don't see what the issue is here, it's easy enough.

I have to agree. Coming from someone who owns a ps3 and 360 I have to say i'm more impressed with these visualsthen Killzone 3's. My wife ain't going to be too happy about me dropping $60 on this and picking up a 3DS lol.
