My gtx 690 will eat this game and Metro last light. :)Truth_Hurts_U
Aw just go suck a D!ck :P Hoping my 670 is up to the task anyway. Definitely Metro, that game will destroy everything. Hopefully it's better optimised than 2033 though

What exactly is wrong with Metro 2033's optimization? I can play it maxed out minus advanced DOF at 1080p with a single 670 and only drop below 60 fps in scenes with heavy volumetric lighting combined with heavy action, and never under 50. Plus, it is easily the best looking game for PC right now (other than The Witcher 2).
if they can make it run on consoles and looking almost as good as the trailer no one is going to be able to touch CRYTEKTessellationGood luck with that.
[QUOTE="Tessellation"]if they can make it run on consoles and looking almost as good as the trailer no one is going to be able to touch CRYTEKferret-gamerGood luck with that. probably just a bit better than crysis 2 on consoles, but far from the PC version of crysis 3.
Man that looks good. This really makes me excited to see what next gen will be like, it'll obviously look much better than this. Crytek's got a nice engine on their hands there, it definitely looks great for PC. I'm impressed by how much they're able to get out of consoles though, they're really pushing the console visuals beyond our expectations with Crysis 3. I mean, just look at this beautiful screenshot of Crysis 3 console gameplay:http://www.gamershell.com/static/screenshots/46/1649_full.jpg. You can always count on Crytek to show the best in every platform when it comes to visuals :P.

Yeah, there's not a jaggie in sight. Crytek's done wonders with their art style, they did a great job masking those jaggies. Not to mention the dust particle effects and fluid physics. Their tesselation technology really shows with the trees, and dat view distance. Remember though, this is only Alpha footage, the final game may look better :o.
[QUOTE="aroxx_ab"]Considering Crysis 2 looks like complete ass on consoles and this trailer basically shows off DX11 tesselation... don't get your hopes up.Graphic is not everything but damn that looks good, my Ps3 is ready :D

Dont know how Crysis 2 look like for consoles, i played it in 3D on my PC. But this looks just insane :o
There's a difference between a tech demo and what will be in the actual game. Anyone remember Cryengine 3 tech demo and all previews before Crysis 2 came out? Crytek are excellent liars and know what to use to get people hyped for a game. I'll believe it when I see it and as long as the game is multiplatform the game still has to be designed around the lowest common denominator which are the consoles. Unless they specifically focused and had a separate team working on Pc assets we will not see the level of detail and effects seen in this demo.04dcarraherOutside of the Crysis2 E3 3D trailer... Crysis 2 looked better than all those tech demos.

In the end it'll be worth it for them to still cater to PC gamers because we were the ones who made them successful, had faith and support for them, and even after they released that consolized traitorous game Crysis 2 (which TBH I did like), I'm still willing to see what they have to say and show.
Well Hermits, you better upgrade your hardware once again because you don't really want to miss out on all the best graphics do you?
This is why Gaikai is the future.

What is this, next generation?

Nope just modern PC visuals. Your console won't make it look close to that
I know... I'm not getting the console version.

I am amazed at how they make the out door sequences look amazing, yet indoors it looks totally uninspiring. Still suffering from the age old crytek problem of "cant do indoors".

Aw just go suck a D!ck :P Hoping my 670 is up to the task anyway. Definitely Metro, that game will destroy everything. Hopefully it's better optimised than 2033 though
I guarantee you one 670 won't be enough to play this maxed out, that is, assuming it will look like this. (probably won't)
Now if the game actually looks that good... god damn...
parkurtommo
It will on PC.
I'm sold on Crysis 3 now. I've spent more time modding C2 than playing it so far, but that's pretty fun in itself:P
It's not that Crysis 2 is'nt good, it just feels like I won't do more than one playthrough; unlike C1 and Warhead.
Edit: Also, I might finally get an excuse to upgrade my SLI 460s :P

I guarantee you one 670 won't be enough to play this maxed out, that is, assuming it will look like this. (probably won't)Crysis 2 modded with MaldoHD often matches the stuff shown in the video, and my OC'd 670 GTX handles it maxed out just fine.
If the game ends up properly optimised, and not some rushed crapjob,I see no reason why a single 670 GTX couldn't handle it on 1080p...
+1... They did the same with the first Crysis. That said I don't have much interest in the game yet regardless of the tech behind it.It is amazingly beautiful.
So were the Crysis 2's tech demo, but Crysis 2 didn't come close to it. I'm not holding my breath.
Remember, they said those tech demos were in-game from Crysis 2 as well. Crytek has a habit of lying through their teeth.

[QUOTE="PAL360"]Looks like we have a new PC and console graphics king. Looks amazing!gpukingWhat console graphics king? You mean another incoming sub hd game with even lower fps and stronger pop ins this time?
You don't make any sense. You want graphics kings and games that push the console but cry foul when it doesn't live up to your standards.
Games like God of War 3, Gears 3, Uncharted 3, Killzone 2/3, and Halo 4 sacrifice alot of things to keep that 720p framebuffer at a stable fps.
Crysis 2 brought both consoles to it's knees with insane fidelity. There's so much you can do with... 512MB of RAM with Direct X9 standards

It's called a good balance. By your rationale we might as well render the frame buffer at ps2 res and get some more nut busting graphics. The best looking console game tend to have the best cocktail mix in image quality, performance and effects. Not saying Crysis 3 on console wont render at 720 this time if they bothered to optimize more thoroughly, but just don't call it a graphics king when it's not even reaching the standard HD game res.[QUOTE="seanmcloughlin"]

I still think Crysis 2 (360) is the best on consoles right now in terms of visuals and to think that was Crytek's first attempt on consoles. This is their second run now and I fully expect Crytek to put out an even better looking game than Crysis 2 even if marginally. So yeah, if they put out a better looking game than the already stunning looking Crysis 2 then yeah console graphics king is a lock.

Well CE3 is much more fleshed out now since C2 hit, they have had time to optimise it to hell and back and make it run a lot smoother, it also has proper Dx11 implementation now from the get go and not patched in. Im sure Crytek have learned their lesson after C2 bombed, they even said it backfired themselves.
I think a 670 can handle max 1080p at about 40-50 fps but I am not expecting constant 60
