People of the system wars forums, this is how you smoke out the cows.
People can disbelieve all they want, it's not like proving them wrong time and time again stops the people who haven't played EITHER game from trying to say that Uncharted 2 has better graphics.
Not to mention anyone who can use google and has eyes could have figured this out on their own 15 pages ago

However it is the closest thing this gen, by a mile.Crysis still fails are true photo realism.

ok? and who said it was photoreal? other than at the perfect moment with 16x qAA at 2560x1600 where it can be like .0001% of the time and not ingame, its not, but it still comes close. and it still has the best graphics this gen

Wouldn't I have to own or want a Sony platform to be a cow?"I bet my bottom dollar crysis doesnt look like that on the comp you're using."
Sorry,
Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16 GHz
4 GB DDR3 RAM
Radeon HD 4870 512 MB
2 Seagate 500 GB SATA Drives in Raid 0
I know it's surprising that someone would put more than 256 MB of RAM and V-RAM in a platform despite their colossal waste of a processor that is completely bottlenecked by their unbalanced structure and nobody is willing to change programming architecture to pander to bad hardware design, but there you have it, chump.
And that's nothing compared to some people's rigs...
SmokingBomber
my ratings only go up to 5.9 max, are you using windows 7?
Another Ps3 exclusive compared to Crysis. :o How shocking. . . But to answer the question; no, Uncharted 2 doesn't look better than Crysis.Racer_XLR
The fact is that not many PC gamers are able to run crysis on uber settings (high, very high, enthusist, and ultra). Lets see some medium screen shots with no AA vs. Uncharted 2.

Anything less then a SSD gets a 5.9 which is dumb imo. I have raid 0 and I'm just as fast if not faster then some SSDs and it still scores mine a 5.9.

I'm not going to agree with you just yet.
I still need to play Crysis myself, but even on medium with no AA. . . yeah maybe just maybe.

I disagree there are racing games that look more photorealistic.
Photorealism is much easier to obtain with not organic objects and environments. But even in racing games Crysis can surpass the photorealism reached in any game to date with standard stuff -is only matter of play with the values of the light and shaders- :
Photorealism with organic landscapes are much harder to obtain, but CryEngine 2 and X-RayEngine (S.T.A.L.K.E.R.) handles the task very well:
I only wish that DirectX 11 would actually have a good adoption rate this time around. While lots of people saved money and a pain in the butt not "upgrading" to Vista that is probably one of the main reasons DirectX 10 adoption wasn't high and we haven't seen a game to beat Crysis graphically since then. Crysis 2 is already set to be released and they haven't even been able to max Crysis at a 1920x1200 resolution without tri-SLI? That game seriously needs som optimization.
What I really want to see are more PC exclusives, not ports from consoles. I want better AI, more interaction with the environment, better stories and more creative gameplay ideas. It has been years since Crysis and there still hasn't been anything to trump it. In fact, I would say that the actual gameplay in Crysis is similar to FPS games I played back in the early 2000s. I thought it was kind of strange that you were ina jungle and you didn't see barely any wildlife didn't you? Gameplay design and story needs to catch up to technological advances. I can understand how it is easy to look at a screen shot of an almost photorealistic image and get excited but unless the gameplay is interesting it is worthless. Look at movies, they ARE photorealistic but many of them suck (ok, granted they aren't interactive but you can see the analogy).
[QUOTE="GTSaiyanjin2"]gameplay, fun, replay value - yea, i agree with you graphics - no contest, crysis wins hands, legs, feet, and arms down :Peverything in Uncharted 2 is better than Crysis, but thats just my opinion... so whatever
navyguy21
Hey I love my Uncharted 2, so yes even the graphics are better :P But yeah I'm going to put my Crysis disk on my pc later, just maybe I forgot just how amazing the game looks like :x
Not to be a dick, but anyone who really thinks the faces in Uncharted 2 look better than in Crysis, you really should sit back, and take a look at what's real. These shots are real at 1920 x 1200 with 16x AF, and 2x AA. These are in game, and at max settings, and the game rarely if ever goes below 30-35fps. Also, if any of the doubters played the game, the shine in the eyes, the blinking and the human-like expressions are great. Not perfect, but great....and far better than any other game I have played, including Uncharted 2. Both Uncharted games are among my fav's by the way. Fantastic fun.
Mainly because there are people who own a PS3/360, but have never seen what a high-end PC can do graphically. I have a Wii, a PS3 and a recently built PC with an i7 cpu, and two gtx 285's in SLi. I hook my PC up to my HDTV quite often, and I can really see what games look like, and what kind of fps they get. Most people saying things like "Gears looked better than any PC game at the time", or "Uncharted and Killzone 2 pown any game anywhere graphically", make me believe they have never ventured beyond what's sitting next to their tv.
jeez, evertime a ps3 exclusive is released they have to compare it to crysis, people should get it through there thick heads that niether the 360 or the ps3 can beat crysis graphics, they don't have the RAM, and they don't have the GPU's to do it, it is technically impossible for the 360 or ps3 to run a game like crysis at at that level, cocnsoles will NEVER beat the PC in the graphics department, to say otherwise just shows a complete lack of technical knowledge and common sense.delta3074
everyone, just keep quoting this. eventually it will sink into the stubborn minds.
C'mon give up already!!!
Uncharted 2 is an amazing looking game and is more fun to play depending on your tastes but still.. Dude.. It can't touch Crysis.
please don't do this. Crysis is better. But Uncharted 2 is the better game (online wise)SilverChimeraMe and everyone who isnt you disagrees.

It's personal tastes dude. I like Uncharted 2 better as a game but online wise Crysis is superior.

let this thread die, no need to revive it
Agreed pretty much. LOL, it was about to go off the page until you bumped it :POh gawd stop with these threads. Cows really do have an unhealthy obsession with Crysis, it's freaking ridiculous. U2 doesn't tough Crysis graphically.
10 pages and counting? Are you serious?
i'm late. but h3ll no! crysis compared to u2 looks a console gen ahead, 3 gens ahead with mods haha.
Sooo, how many of youclaming Crysis has better graphics than Uncharted 2 will actually post pics of how it looks from your own setup, with proof? And then prove that you also have played/own unchrted 2 so that you have frecking clue about what you are talking about?
Fact is Crysis DOSEN'T destroy uncharted 2 unless you are running an ultra setup (what most of the troll on hereare posting as proof that it has better graphics than UC2). Now How many of you claiming Crysis looks better using those pictures can run that with you setup? if you can't then that's not your reality and YOU can't claim it because what you're looking at isn't better than what all PS3 owners see when they look at UC2. Crysis only looks better for you if you can run crysis at those ultra maxed out settings which 98% of you claiming itlooks better can not.
HERE'S THE TEST: Post pics of Crysis/Crysis Warhead from YOU OWN SETUP..."AND"...pics of Uncharted from out own setup
Crysis Warhead on my setup not off some internet/company setupthat no one could actually play.

cut-sceen
Both of these are being played on my Samsung 1080p 46' plasma HDTV
Crysis looks amazing, but haveing played both, I know that graphically speaking they are close to the same level with crisis only slightly beats outUC2 because ofcertian areas PC games always beat consosle games inlike resolutionand density (only on the forest stages tho).
My Break Down:
On character modles UC2 wins,
textures it's about even, If you disagree then you haven't played UC2 on a decent TV. :P or you have an ultra setup lol.
water it's about even, both games have frecking amazing water.
physics Crysis kill UC2,
animation UC2wins,
All in all because of the diffeent ****it's hard to say, but thegraphical "level" of these2 games are so close it just comes down to persnal prefrence.
