Meh, just as i said every great crysis pic has zero proof how it ran in realtime.killzowned24
Fine. Gimme 30 minutes
I will download this map:
And get you your damn "framerate"
Meh, just as i said every great crysis pic has zero proof how it ran in realtime.killzowned24
OMFG, is this a ****ing joke? Those screens look exactly like mine, but somehow mine suck? Or is it because you got owned for the 10th time in this thread, you couldn't admit it so you said they looked bad? You still haven't answered.
[QUOTE="KingsMessenger"]
[QUOTE="BlackTragedy"]
yes crysis looks better. But I tired of ppl saying its miles and light years ahead of others games. Its not. It looks better but its not in its own league. just at the top
killzowned24
You are right. It is quite a bit ahead, but it isn't nearly as much as some people claim it is.
However, Crysis MODS are lightyears ahead.
Crytek, despite being great technically and doing a good job at using their tech in terms of art, wasted a TON of potential within their engine.
Modders have proven this time and again. The right adjustments and modifications to the game can make it FAR better looking graphically, not to mention many times actually improving performance. The ToD mods are just one example of that. Go further and start having modders design different levels and really using the engine to push the ART, and good lord you end up with stuff like this:
I highly doubt they are real as there is not a single jag even on the grass and again how many people could even be able to play it? I highly doubt anyone here or they would already posted a pic showing the framerate with looking as good to prove me wrong. Er, you know PC can do 16xAA and more, like 24xAA, which gets rid of jaggies.I highly doubt they are real as there is not a single jag even on the grass and again how many people could even be able to play it? But then nobody can run it. It turns out most people can run it, so it looks bad. Some screens look good, but nobody can run it. Wait, something's wrong here...
Well that "Tech demo" map sucks... Doesn't even have a .cry file in the download so you can't use it even if you wanted to.
So... I guess we will have to settle for a few videos:
Vid 1(Tech Demo Map)
Vid 2(Different Map)

Okay. Let's call it a filibuster, then. :PSeriously. No. Crysis is still graphics king. : |AAllxxjjnn
im a cow and i think uncharted 2 isnt even in the same galazy of graphics as crysis
lmao crysis looks beter than real life
Oh no... I have shifted from Crymod's WIP SP map area to their FINISHED Multiplayer Maps. Lets have a looksie

Oh my....
So? Finally done?
Enough with these dumb Pc vs Console graphics threads. These current consoles*cant* I mean *cant* compare to what a Pc can do just because the consoles are a fixed system. Its been proven over and over that a 360 or PS3 cant match Pc even back in 2006. The consoles are stuck with 2004/2005 tech this is 2009 going on 2010 tech. Which included Direct x 10 and now 11. Arguing over artistic veiws is one thing but trying to compare to something thats has 2-4x the detail and power needed to run is crazy. Stop being in denial people,
is that supposed to look amazing?Oh no... I have shifted from Crymod's WIP SP map area to their FINISHED Multiplayer Maps. Lets have a looksieOh my....So? Finally done?

depends which pc is running crysis. Uncharted2 > Crysis on some computers. However crysis has the potential to look the best and it shows it on med-high end pcs.
crysis over uncharted 2 no contest. i think we have all agreed on that for a long time. i also think we can probably agree though that at least right now uncharted 2 has the best graphics on the consoles? thats the real question. because its undistputed that crysis is the king.
here is what crysis looks like on my $400 pc, these are the settings i actually play at, not maxing out for pristine shots with 2fps.
oh well bored thread always repeating.........its just never give up........all player has different perspective or game to play(some hate FPS some love 3PS)
so....its only graphics...sheeesh....its a view but its artificial....that you can forget easily

Nice logic you got there.
So what happens if I run Uncharted 2 on Playstation?
I mean, do you really believe in what you said  ?
I would encourage to look up at this vids to a more cabal knowledge about both games and his technical features.
-The first one is the Crysis Warhead chapter 6, "From Hell's Heart", a.k.a. "the train level"; the first vid is captured with FRAPS, whole the other two are two screeners of the same level from my own PC:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8XW1cls2Gg
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvAo28YPxU8
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZmtVFIGUkQ
...As anyone can look, the size of the map in huge, and you're not confined to go in the train, since at any time you can jump to the ground and even steal a jeep and ride along with the train or even go on ahead; of course, the train offers a substantial advantage: heavy machineguns and auto cannons with unlimited ammunition. Also, take into consideration the physics: colapsable huts, destructable trees, vehicles can be overturned if you shoot the tires, hellicopters can lost the control and crash interacting with the environments, etc.
Then look at the Uncharted 2 "Locomotion" level, "the train level" :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oG0ZHRfvdlg
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3wSy6Mxabc
As cool as the environments looks, the level is not more than a corridor: a simple "on rails" linear level in that you can't jump from the train to the ground or interact with the landscape in any form, with cool water and detailed textures in the train but dull vegetation and elemental physics. Is as limited as the Train Wreck level in Gears Of War:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wa93fnn6Twk
...So please, don't waste words about how Uncharted 2 can fight against Crysis in terms of graphics AND gameplay: in BOTH aspects Crysis is way ahead in his core features and in terms of what can the gfame provide to the players. I still think that U2 is a awesome game with state-of-the-art acting and superb art design, but still very limited compared to Crysis & Warhead.

The TV, and type of connection also helps Uncharted 2. Half Life 2>Uncharted 2 on some TVs (10" Black and White ones). This agrument doesn't really work, because you don't really need a beefy computer to run Crysis so it looks better than Uncharted 2 (now to get up to the higher settings you do need more power)

It depends on how many PCs with Geforce 8800 GTX/GT/9600/9700/9800GT/250GT/260/285 or Radeon HD 2900/38x0/46x0/47x0/48x0/57x0/58x0/59x0.Why was this thread resurrected? Honestly, just when Cows were quite enough for me to forget how arrogant they are.

Exactly. Ugh. It seems to them that the awards success has somehow given this argument more legitimacy. GIVE IT UP COWS! Crysis is graphics king. Get over it.

My point is, UC2 engine is inferior against PS3's work-in-progress CryEngine3 let alone PC's CryEngine2 or CryEngine3. CryEngine2 currently being used beyond gaming i.e. use for real time architecture (as in buildings) demonstrations. UC2's engine is just a toy.[QUOTE="-Tretiak"]

What's wrong with the gameplay? Just because it looks good it doesn't mean that the gameplay is lacking. And story? It's basically crappy story vs. crappy story.[QUOTE="ronvalencia"]My point is, UC2 engine is inferior against PS3's work-in-progress CryEngine3 let alone PC's CryEngine2 or CryEngine3. Procedural physics is already enabled with CryEngine3 tech demo.
Example of procedural physics is tree's interaction with player's weapon's fire. In this scene, god-rays also interacts with tree's leaves.
If you read http://http.developer.nvidia.com/GPUGems3/gpugems3_ch16.html
With CryEngine2, note the procedural animation/physics with vegetation and it'srunning on the GPU.
From recent CryEngine3 demo i.e. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Kvl31g77Z8
Major features are
1. Integrated voxel objects.
2 Streaming game world.
3. Advanced AI.
4. Deferred Lighting.
5. Real time global illumination.

ON Crysis I could scale a cliff for a half hour to sneak in the back way, I could throw a dude through a house, I could killa guy froma KM away. Can you do any of this on UC or UC2 ?
