Started playing it earlier today. Haven't stopped since. Just literally stopped.
Single player and Multiplayer are incredible. Just an amazing game. Another AAAE for PC. :)

after all the complaints of piracy for crysis you really think it will stay exclusive?supermechakirby
They already stated the Crysis series is remaining exclusive to PC. Future IP's from them may end up multiplat but Crysis will remain exclusive, according to Crytek.

Just bought it on Steam. I'm downloading now.
Tomorrow's gonna be fun. :D
[QUOTE="yanni1"]can anyone tell me how large the DL is getting warhead off steam?Teufelhuhn
6243MB for Warhead.
5369MB for Crysis Wars.
I think the bigger problem is how many PCgames Gamespot ignores completely and doesn't review at all.Great for the people who are interested in the game.
I still don't get why Hermits think GameSpot isn't fair to PC.

We definitely recognize gaps in our PC reviews coverage; this isn't by design, but often because the release schedule for PC games is often filled with niche adventure titles and strategy games--games that only a select few members of the reviews team are qualified to review. When it comes to PC strategy games, myself, Brett Todd, and Justin Calvert are the lucky ones that are intimately familiar with the genre--and Brett (a freelancer that lives in Canada) and I are the only core PC gamers on the team.
As a result, a couple of reviewers are spread very thin, but we're working to fix this very issue. Another issue that frequently comes up is that publishers often send us review copies for every platform except the PC, which makes it more difficult to post a review for every system at the same time.
So yes, we definitely know there is lots of room to grow here, but we're trying to fill in those gaps. Please know it isn't that we don't take the PC seriously (and anyone that knows me--as in, actually knows me, as opposed to guesses about me--knows that the PC will always be my home platform). Hang on, and hopefully I can bear good news.
Hey Kevin-V can I just ask one question? In your review you saida test machine that struggled a bit to run the original at high settings ran Warhead smoothly with the same setting, what was the specs of that test machine? :DEspada12
It's my work machine; I am not sure of the exact specs because I'm at home. I know it's got a 7900 GS installed with 2GB of RAM, but I don't recall the processor speed. At home, I can run Warhead on enthusiast settings, and I've got 3 GB RAM, a 9800 GTX, and quad core Q9300 at 2.5 Ghz. Crysis proper definitely needs to be toned down a bit on that machine; Warhead runs nicely at the same settings at 1440 X 900.
I dont think i will ever play a Crysis game. Im not crazy enough to spend $800 for a video game and probably wont consider buying it if they port it to the next Xbox or PSkrp008

I guessed the team was a little thin. I mean two Europa Universalis 3 add-ons got reviews like a day apart, while EU: ROme still doesn't have a review, so that was a bit funny :)

No, you are definitely correct. Other examples abound, such as Mercs 2 on PC which isn't yet reviewed, or Turning Point on PC, which was never reviewed, among others. I'm certainly not out to make excuses, but rather to communicate that I know the frustration, and I'm a voice that's on your side, trying to get this fixed up.
PC GOTY anyone?MoldOnHold
Probably
maybe even an contender for the overall GOTY? Idk if they count it. It's a stand alone expansion after all

And not only that, but you get to look at any game box and laugh at the minimum and recommended requirements.
[QUOTE="anshul89"][QUOTE="carlisledavid79"]lol what a rip off. ddr3, QX9650 but only 3870 graphics :lol:Expected this news to be bigger lol.
Ah well, At least I can finally experience games on my new pc.
Dell XPS 730/ 2651
Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 @3.46ghz
4GB DDR3 1333MHz memory
Dual 1GB ATI Radeon HD 3870 graphics
1000GB HDD (2x500GB sata raid)
carlisledavid79
It will run warhead,
Personally I would get a cheaper CPU and a 4870.
I recently build a system for my bud and got him a E8600 and 4850 for a total of $430. Which, imo will give higher gains for half the price of what you have.
Great for the people who are interested in the game.

Yet another AAA expansion pack. The PC seems to get more AAA expansion packs than the consoles gets AAA's.foxhound_fox
Well, it's more than expansion pack and it's standalone. On consoles this would be branded as sequel and nobody would complain. Look at Vegas2, GRAW2 or God of War 2

God of War is a bad example but yeah RB6v2 and GRAW2 are pretty much (stand alone) expansions like Crysis WarheadWell, it's more than expansion pack and it's standalone. On consoles this would be branded as sequel and nobody would complain. Look at Vegas2, GRAW2 or God of War 2 AdrianWerner

Well the problem with calling them expansions is most consolites will then say it does not count as a game here on SW. You know what they are like, any excuse to knock a PC game lol.
Not like us PC gamers care about such things, we just want to play the games.
I dont know whats up with my local retailers. Release was yesterday and some stores say today and some say tomorrow meaning really friday which sucks. I stopped by target after work (its right next door) and they didnt have it. Then i get home and check bestbuy.com with the zip code store locator to see if they have it in stock and apparently every best buy near me said they had it on shelves and when i get there...its not there...so i checked circuit city like one street away and they didn't have it either. For some reason my walmart doesnt sell pc games.
Heres to hoping one of these f'ing stores has it tomorrow!
Crysis Wars is amazing (the online for warhead). I hated the onlien for Crysis (love the singleplayer though), but this new online is a big improvement! Much better balancing online for sure.
Cant wait to sink my teeth into the singleplayer portion.
THIS IS A MUST OWN!

$39.99 on Steam. And The Witcher: Enhanced Edition and STALKER Clear Sky are as well. I will be buying all four as soon as I get my new computer. On top of the $800-1000 I plan to spend on the computer I get to spend $150 on games as soon as I get it... -_-
I should download the witcher! I like to play Stalker, but I dont think I have the nerve for it atmospheric theme.
