watching it, it looks very similar graphically nothing amazing.

It may not be among the visually most impressive titles, but it still looks very eye-pleasing, I like the overall style.
But that's not too important, the good thing is, the gameplay looks as satisfying as always!
Looks good, nothing too crazy in terms of changes (from what we have seen) but thats probably a good thing.
Visuals are definitely improved, if that is being played on a ps3/360 its really impressive.
Well that was awesome. Shame 12 minutes seemed so short now but that will hold me over for a while.
biggest improvement is the lighting, when that dude busted through the wall it looked really really nice. Can't wait to see the PC version

looooooool how the hell was he supposed to get across that bridge without dying?

Probably some sort of item like the Ring of the Abyss for the Four Kings fight
or killing the dragons beforehand. yay demon's souls tricks. i kinda like, and kinda am confused the hell out of the new equipment system. i'm not sure if the guy was picking like, 5 different weapons from the same slot or not. i liked that you can actually use the bow with your left hand now, will allow people that like to have situational bows to have more build variety without trudging through menus as often. special animations for dual wielding is nice, not that i expect to use it much. having to sacrifice the shield in exchange for light sounds cool. means you'll need to master movement even if you go for a tanky character. 20 healing items that can be used while walking... meh. dude seemed a bit too tanky, but i'm willing to give it the benefit of doubt.Part of the glory of demons souls is making your own unique Soul and being thrust into a careless world, I was hoping they would expand upon that.
I'm getting a huge main hero vibe.
it's just like the knight's set was the "official" armor set for the first two games. it's just what they run demos with so people have a familiar face of sorts. and that's exactly how dark souls is lol. you only die if you set yourself for failure. if you're careful enough, you'll barely ever die. maybe he felt a bit too resilient (and WTF was he using to block at the part with the torch that would let him absorb the whole damage), but i'm willing to give them the benefit of doubt and assume that it's because they're just playing a strong character for the sake of the demo.Alright I have some problems already, I think we are playing a fixed character.
Just from the trailer, that guys wearing the same outfit, and everything.
IDK. It looked decent and the dragon manor was cool but I'm a bit nervous about it. It seemed whenever he died it was because he set himself up for failure.
There's simply too little to go on at the momen.

he I disagree this looked to easy compared to DK starting area, but then again this probably a pumped up character.
I really hope it's coincidence with the same Knight set. But I'm not so sure.
dark souls is actually pretty easy early on, especially if compared to demon's. the only really tough parts are figuring out where you're actually supposed to go (i.e. not skeletons, not immortal ghosts), and figuring out how to kill the taurus demon. besides those two things, you're not really challenged until the gargoyles. also, he was playing random segments of the game to show different gameplay mechanics. i'm not particularly happy with how buff the guy is, but it's not like my own DK character was that different. and the screenshots show other armor sets, so i'm pretty sure that it's just the "new" knight's set.meh i don't know. was considering picking up this series. but that video made the game out to look impossible to complete. Chrome-
Lol, how? It looked really easy.
Everything was telegraphed, The bridge was the only thing that looked like your going to die no matter what and they said there will be a way to get past that area.

Plus that part with the two heavy enemies in the beginning was entirely the player's fault. I don't usually say this but he was really sucking (possibly on purpose).
yeah that and the silver chariot, he should of dodge rolled to the side, it just appeared like a forced way of saying "We are still hard guys, look you can even still die."
the one shot axe from the troll dude kind of gave me some hope.

i think u need a fog ring to croos that area
Quite dissapointing tbh, looks like the exact same game...
I also found it funny how they said that they wanted to incease the graphical quality, meanwhile on screen you can see a hideous 2D, blurry/pixelated background. Hopefully that was just one of those alpha things.
EDIT: Alright, after seeing that pudgy armoured guy with the dynamic lighting, I'm impressed.

well like i said, souls games have always been about punishing carelessness, not cheap deaths. so what they did was show what happens when you don't play like a dark souls veteran.gameplay related, I really was hoping to see new spells and classes.
I honestly don't just want a carry over of what Dark Souls had. I'd like some new classes and abilities.
looks like dual wielding weapons is back n worth using just like in demon's soulssilversix_they have their own attack animations now, rather than "normal attack with one hand, then normal attack with the other" from the previous games. not that i dual wield.
Q&A summary:

A: Bonfires, Estus flasks, and many other stuff you will be comfortable
Q: Lots of dragons
A: yes dragons are key element of story
Q: Storytelling style changes?

Q: better grfx, wind effects etc
A: wanted to bring life to the game, dive deep into the world

Q: HUD changes
A: Still in development, improvements in usability based on user feedback
Q: How much do you listen to fans
A: want to hear want fans want
Q: Combat changes
A: Underlying base same as DS1, focus on expression of motion, more motion capture, more realistic motions, more natural feel.
Q: Looks fantastic, when is it out
A: still in development trying to make the best game they can.
