That's definitely it. The painted world was pretty much just a destroyed castle and it had that cursed dragon on the opposite side of the bridge. It can't be a coincidence

In dark souls there's zero reasons to dual wield but in demon's (dual katana for example) there were. I'd love an option for constant DPS with fast attacks rather than large burst dmg.
Dual wielding daggers maybe? someonething similar to katana's perhaps.
But yeah, individual Animations, and attack speed values based on Weapon is something I really hope they expand upon.

i wouldn't mind it if they made spellcasting balanced and interesting to play as. i just can't bring myself to play a caster, they're always so boring. needs to make caster combat feel powerful, weighty and rewarding as melee combat, while making sure they don't make it (or make hybrid builds) OP.I want wizard spells to be reworked. darksouls went a long way from Demonsouls in the fact that you can't cheapen the game as easily with soul arrow.
But I still like effective magic.
But then again pyromancers were freaking rediculous in Dark Souls, lol.

The game looks pretty damn good. I just really hope they do a good job with the PC version, because the framerate looked pretty damn wobbly in that video. I would not want to play this on consoles.

I think a misconecption developers in general need to get past is that a magic user is only viable for stationary ranged combat with occasional kiting.
These are old mechanics from MMO's, that literally carry over into the entire industry. Something I really hope get's changed in general.

Eh for all their talk about importance of animatons, I really was hoping for more especially with walking and running.
The guy in the demo seem to have a really high poise, when he walks down the staircase with the torch at one point he entirely block the enemy's hit (one of those giant)
Don't know if its always like this or if an equipment affect his poise, im guessing the former.
The game is coming this year, yes? Because if its 2014 there's 'only' a 100% chance this comes also on ps4/720.silversix_
Very likely, although it could launch on the current gen consoles even if the next gen ones get released before. You can can definitely tell that wasn't PS4/720 footage though. If they do a really good job on the PC version, they would probably be able to use that code and easily port it to the next gen consoles.

well at least one MMO decided that spellcasters needed to be more aggressive.
Is it me or did they make it easier? I was expecting those big **** enemies to take at least half of your health away. But no, it was more like 10%.ShadowDeathX

Notice the amount of souls he was getting as well, looked like high level character in a starting area.
A lot of people on the net have been saying it looks easier, enemies do less damage and he holds too many weapons but the character could have been buffed a tonne to allow for an easier presentation, I mean a normal character would die a lot and have to take his time in battle and they didn't have a lot of time to show it.
I imagine it will be more or less the same as DS1

i recommend visiting undead burg before heading to klin of the first flame.Thats castle full of dragons scenario... beautifull
