Diablo 3 deserves no more then a 8 from me, big letdown of a game.

Then buff the melee classes. I am currently in act 4 and having no issues with progression as a DH. Its taken me weeks to get to this point but thats the entire point of inferno, it wasnt mean to be beaten in DAYS (even though it was). When 1.0.3 comes out, people will be trucking through inferno at will and beat it and then say 'ok what now?'. Inferno is supposed to be downright NASTY hard but its completely beatable if you put the time and effort into it. Monks def need a buff but other classes that put the time into beating it with the right gear and the right build have no problem progressing.
Naveed, consider that Torchlight 2 is $20 (or $15 in the 4 pack) and that it has 3 acts and 4 player co-op.
It seems like a decent competitor to Diablo 3 if you ask me. I'm definitely going to pick it up.
The fact that the first act of the game is said to be bigger than the WHOLE of the first Torchlight seems pretty good if you ask me

I am not saying TL2 wont be good, but people act like its so amazing and DIII is terrible. If TL2 was DIII guess what people would be saying? It's so colorful and cartoony! There is less content than DII! It is linear as hell!
People just LOVE to crap on the success stories. By all means though, buy TL2 and enjoy it. I don't see me doing that, as if by some weird chance I get sick of DIII and there is no expansion or anything, I would probably go to Grim Dawn first.
Didn't make the cut because they are fat and lazy. Just the truth. Game is a cut and paste bore fest. All they cried about was takes to much time... Yet it took them freaken forever to make the game we have now.... Joke. Any dev out there can do it with less time... They didn't show me anything I havent seen in other games of what they released. They didn't even finish the classes... That's how freaken lazy they are. There to busy nerfing XP and loot farming to give a crap about how sad the game is.[QUOTE="Truth_Hurts_U"][QUOTE="NaveedLife"]
So what? You do know that this happens in pretty much every game right? Yeah I was a little sad the place in the dungeon with the water pooling over at all sides and tons of mobs climbing up over...this part...
You have to understand that not every part makes the cut. They have plenty of awesome areas and events. As Napk1ns said, the game is not perfect, but it does so much right and is so addicting. Diablo II has its points that it is better with, but overall DIII is the better game, refining many elements and evolving gameplay to the best in iso ARPG's.
NaveedLife
The game is the best iso ARPG I have ever played. Others like Torchlight 2, have less classes, less acts, worse graphics, and to be quite straight forward, are less revolutionary.
How are they nerfing XP and loot farming? THey are making the looting system better and are not changing anything about XP, which is already rather easy to max your char (as intended), if you play enough.
Hold up, you've played the entirety of torchlight 2? this game being the best ISO arpg. Good god don't make me laugh. Hang on I will anyway.I wouldn't exactly call it carebearing. I think they some changes are needed, but I am a bit worried it might be too easy. Act 2 is WAY harder than act 1 Inferno. I think they might just want to lessen those damn wasp projectiles :P. Those things are killer.

Act 2 was harder than Act 3 IMO but thats only because of the mob mechanics. You cannot do anything against a soul ripper who hits you with his tongue from offscreen instantly. You cant do anything with the naga that burrow and appear next to you and 1 shot you. Those things were sooo frustrating but I honestyl rushed through that Act just because I knew I would have a better time in Act 3 lol. I'm just worried that loot is going to get even MORE polluted than it is already.

Such is the life of the typical SW hipster.
Anyway, I agree. No matter how Diablo 3 turned out, it would have dissapointed some. I think it turned out great. I love the pulpy aesthetic, that takes more from horror than from typical fantasy. I love the look, and the graphics look fine (really they aren't that bad). It's a great game, and I was really close to buying it until I realised I'm real short on cash, so instead I'll be getting TL2. I'm going to miss the awesome visuals of Diablo though :(

Keep shining that blizzard Nob breh. Why would I provide proof to the blind? It's can't be done unless you want braille. Maybe read my example for only 1 class I have provided instead that would be a pretty good idea. we can add turrets to that list, pretty much the entirety of Barbs unless you get godly gear. Then you can finally roll with a DH unless he also had godly gear, then why the **** are you even there? just to loot. witch doctors? just awful. also added, why did they even add a normal mode when you can face roll that entire part, it was a complete disregard of the players time.Titan Quest is many times better then crappy D3. You must not keep up on patches. They nerfed all the XP farming from quests... Then they did another round of it so it's 100% worthless to do any kind of XP farming. Now they are going to nerf 2 guaranteed drops to 1 from bosses when you have 5 stacks of valor. All they are doing now is giving act 1 2% chance to get ilvl 63 gear.... and Act II 4% chance. OOOOOH boy! Drop rates already suck! Then you have to go through the random gear generator... What freaken fun! Their not even going to buff OJ items yet. I spent 1 week Goblin and Pygmy farming with 2 other people. I found 1 gosh dang up grade for my class and some gear that was AH'able. That's with 240% Magic find too.The game is the best iso ARPG I have ever played. also torchlight 2 has better graphics especially when you consider the scale compared to D3 if you want to go that route, I'm dead serious.

Truth_Hurts_U
You shouldnt even need to farm XP. It is a pretty natural progression and if you just play and actually kill things you will level to 60 about when you finish Hell. I don't see the problem here.
Boss drops are going down to 1 guaranteed (but have a better chance of multiple drops) and champs and elites are going up to 1 guaranteed (with a less chance of multiples). How is this nerfing looting? It makes people do more than boss runs.

And I am the blind one? Seriously man, get outa here with that nonsense. DIII looks leagues better and I can admit when another game beats DIII in something. Grim Dawn will probably look better (though DIII is just different artistically).
PS - I am rolling a level 60 Barbarian in Inferno (and more chars) and you must not know how to make good builds.

Like Diablo 2 it was released with serious class balance issues, flat out broken or useless skills, a awful item system.. Even with that though I have been able to put like 120 hours into it.. But don't think I will be coming back for awhile.. The great thing about Blizzard is their support of the game and a year or two down the road the game will most likely be unrecognizable in many areas to what it is now.. Least that was the case for Diablo 2.. The game was night and day difference when it came to the patch 1.10 from 1.09 for instance. The game is the best iso ARPG I have ever played. Exactly no offense to the TC but yeah Diablo 3 seems great at the start, its all ZOMG ANOTHER DIABLO level a Barb to 60 and you see how shallow and rushed out this game is. Not to mention your playing it when they are NOW fixing the server issues..first 2 weeks were the worst thing I have ever experienced.

As it is right now only DH can progress through inferno, because of crazy dps and smoke screen. and the levels are much bigger than d3's.
Don't use old build screens to try and prove a point.
I could start bringing in d3 screens that make it look laughable, act 3 fort defense for one.
not to mention how linear it was. Just pitiful.
This game does the painterly style much better I feel.
A couple more for good measure.
looks good to me. Open the screens in a new browser window here they are blown up and screwed up.

You're making stuff up. Ive seen Barbs, DH's, Wizards (first to clear inferno btw) and Witch doctors clear inferno. The only class I havent seen beat Diablo in inferno is a monk but ive already said they need a buff. Please stop making stuff up, plus SS got nerfed big time. First off those inferno first kills all used the skip mission bug, they didn't actually clear all the chapters. Second I'm talking about your average gamer here. How many WD or barbs do you know that have cleared act 3 or 4, or even killed a boss with 5 stacks? SS is still completely overpowered, even more so if you have a 48+ disc pool. Even then you get your ass handed to you in the higher acts. Any class can death walk/skip chapters there way through inferno. I'm talking about actually killing elite packs on your way. Right now the only class that can do this is DH, and maybe Wizards if they are super geared.[QUOTE="SRTtoZ"][QUOTE="FPSfan1985"] As it is right now only DH can progress through inferno, because of crazy dps and smoke screen. Maybe thats you're idea of balance which is fine, but very few will agree with you.
Even then you spend alot of time dead. I got maybe 5 chapters into act 3 before saying this just isn't worth it. Act 4 is even worse. I see fallen angels in my sleep now.

It went from 3 seconds to 1.5 seconds which makes it much more accurate IMO.
I remember at release quite a few streams were happy to claim they were the world first to beat D3 on inferno when they were using chapter select and corpse hopping. that was a fun time.and the levels are much bigger than d3's.
Don't use old build screens to try and prove a point.
I could start bringing in d3 screens that make it look laughable, act 3 fort defense for one.
not to mention how linear it was. Just pitiful.
This game does the painterly style much better I feel.

You must be really blind. But hey, I am glad you like it. After all it is different and it comes down to opinion. My opinion is it looks like a FB game and you cannot take a darn thing serious.
I'm more up to date on a game I never played more then you are. Sad... LOL![QUOTE="Truth_Hurts_U"][QUOTE="SRTtoZ"]
lolwut. haha.

Fixed.
HAHA... I'll be happy to take a pic of my CE Diablo 3 box set if you still want more proof.[QUOTE="SRTtoZ"][QUOTE="FPSfan1985"] As it is right now only DH can progress through inferno, because of crazy dps and smoke screen. This is end game content! Its like saying the average gamer should be able to clear Deathwing content within the first few weeks, its not supposed to be that way. You're supposed to farm and grind (or pay your way) to inferno gear over weeks/months. I admit that I dont play a barb or WD but I group up with people all the time in Acts 3/4 in inferno and run across barbs, wizzies and WD's all the time. This game is far from perfect and it needs tweaking no doubt, but saying inferno is impossible for anyone but DH's is a straight up lie.
