[QUOTE="TheEroica"][QUOTE="The_Game21x"]It is pretty pathetic to say the least... how do i get to make up my own facts and pretend that theyre real? Not as pathetic as lems trying to end the gen ASAP :lol:I just love how delusional Cows have gotten these days.

The PS3/360/Wii are no longer "current gen" consoles now that the Wii U has launched. 360 fans didn't make that up, that's how it's always been.
Sony tried to go casual and failed... so obviously hate ms. Dvd had zero effect on the industry and is just a stupid point. Ms offered several different hd offerings, though they were mighty pricey.. although adding a 32gb stick is pretty nice. Id MUCH prefer having batteries charging when i game rather than have to plug my controller in across the room... another stupid point. Xbl fees = 4 bucks a month. Get over it. Thank you ms for giving us a nice fresh coat of paint and a feature rich dashboard every year... the ps3 and wii feel archaic by comparisonGamerwillzPS
- Going casual
- Using the DVD
- Using a non-upgradeable hard drive
- Stupid battery design for the controller
- Xbox Live fees
- Awful dashboard UI

Now that I think about it the 360 really did fail hard this gen. As soon as the PS3 released it was all downhill for the 360.
I dont think they made many mistakes bar the rrod and to be fair they introduced the 3 year warranty to cover it. They trebled the amount of consoles they sold from the previous generation, made a sizeable profit and made xbox live a known/brand name outside the gaming community. In my opinion the 360 should now be £99 for the 4GB model and £139.99 for the 250GB model. I would have liked to see more new quality IPs from Microsoft to be honest but to even remotely claim the 360 was a failure is, well failure itself.
If they announce the new Console at CES 2013, promote at E3 2013 for launch next November/December I think they have a great chance to win next generation.
Oh Eddie and his tryhard ways.
So adorable.
On topic: Of course the 360 didn't fail. It nearly tripled its predecessor's install base, has the best games library on a console in terms of quality and quantity, has created the best console online gaming service that Sony and Nintendo are still playing catch up to and has made the Xbox brand a household name.
Fanboys will try as hard as they can to paint the 360 as a failure but anyone in the real world can see through their delusional ramblings.
There biggest mistake is easily the RROd stuff. Outside of that however the 360 has been great for pushing the xbox brand. The xbox brand is huge not only in gaming but in all media entertainment right now. FPSfan1985yup. If it werent for rrod ms would be fighting for first place instead of second. The 360 was synonymous with poor quality for years
It's considered 2nd party. Like the original Halos.FPSfan1985lol, you do realize that Microsoft bought Bungie before the original XBox was released, right?

It started this gen in 1st place (lems count it when other systems arent out yet), to 2nd, to last.
What was its biggest mistake?

Xbox sales: 24 million
360 sales 70+ million
Yes, the 360 failed...
By that logic, the Dreamcast was a success seeing that it sold more than the Saturn. I like how Lems try to use previous gens to make PS3 look b@d and make 360 look good.To determine a consoles success you have to look at its games, infulenece, and sales milestone. The truth is both PS3 and 360 are a success. As you can see with the Wii,1st place is very overrated and doesnt make your console any better. No console has ever got by on its name alone, so bringing up the past Playstations to downplay PS3s successful comeback is bad damage control considering PS3 came later with more obstacles.

The Dreamcast was a success, trouble was it wasn't enough for Sega to pull out of the rut that they created for themselves beginning with the end of the 16 bit era and with the Saturn...Please Log In to post.
