Do You Have a Problem With Female Lead Characters?

:P No I prefer female leads, they are nicer to look at. Anytime I play a 3rd person game with an option to pick male or female, I usually pick female. If I'm gonna stare at an @ss for hours I'd rather have it be a shapely female one.

When 2 of my favorite games ever have female leads, i'm going to say, hell no.

I like Lara but never want to use the stupid b*tches in JRPGs.

No I don't mind. If there is a choice I'll pick a male but I have no problem playing femal leads. For example Heavenly sword I purchased day one.

It was never a problem for me when I played as Yuna in X-2.

Nor was it a problem for Metroid.

I don't have issues with female characters in games like Tomb Raider or Quantic Dream titles, but I dislike females as some badass muscular, huge boobed and huge assed characters from titles like Gears of War and similar. Yeah, yeah, Lara Croft is similar, but Tomb Raider isn't exactly a shoot-em-up title like GoW.

Never cared about the sex of the main character. If the game interest me I'll play it regarless. I really don't see how is that important to anyone.

Remember me is one of my most anticipated games releasing this year, so no, I do not have a problem with female leads.

I prefer having a well written lead character regardless of their gender. Sadly the industry is bigoted against well-written characters so lets make a big deal and protest the industry until we see some change!

I have a problem with female characters when they are written poorly. Too often, developers seem to think they are breaking new ground even though they are often just pushing a stereotype. Having a female lead character isn't compelling just because it's a female.

It just occured to me,that until I read a perview in EDGE magazine a few days ago,I had almost literally no idea what this game was about.

Every time I heard about this game,it was the dev flexing his "right-on"credentials - "hey look how edgy we are,we got a mixed-race female as our lead,they said it couldn't be done but we're stickin' it to the man!!!!"#fighthepower.

Doesn't bode well for the quality of the game tbh.

If I have an option to play as a female 90% of the time I would play as the female character.

The only time I don't but I can choose is Pokémon which I always choose a male trainer.
