I don't really trust them but at the same time I have faith in them that they won't be a bunch of f**kers and try to force the policies on us the upcoming generation again. Â I think they saw how upset everyone was and will not risk tarnishing the xbox brand again...at least for this upcoming generation.

I'm not a lem now because of the U-turn. And DRM is a buzzword. The meaning has changed over the years, it's not bad anymore.

It's the sign of a pranoid american public. After 9/11 we wanted the government to spy on us, now we're all, "oh tinfoil hats the government is spying on us" tinfoil hats won't protect you. Shutting your mouth and growing a pair will.

Dude they spied on Europe as well with no permission or whatever. They had no right to do so! If you believe that's for security only then you're a moron. They gonna use the info in whatever way they like.... commercial use? Easy...

I meant shutting your mouth and not wanting the government to spy on you. And grow a pair because 9/11 is no different from any other event where people die.
[QUOTE="darkspineslayer"]I don't trust them to keep providing enough interesting content after the first several years. Fool me once and all that.V3rciS
They listened to the lack of interest and getting destroyed in preorders and online polls. The gamer becoming happy was just the side effect of them realizing the majority weren't going to swallow it. It is good it happened, but it tells me they were fully OK with screwing the customer. It was in pursuit of the dollar, the happiness of the gamer was a side effect.[QUOTE="darkspineslayer"][QUOTE="Ly_the_Fairy"]
And what does that tell me other than that MS listened to their fans?
That's a GOOD thing. A company is willing to change their product based on what their fans want.Â

It was for the future of the gaming industry. And every company ever in the history of ever is in pursuit of a dollar. Unless it says "nonprofit", but that just means they are stupid.
They had a vision. The majority rejected it. They changed it in pursuit of the dollar, full stop. I'm fully aware of what corporations are after, and all I was talking about was why they changed their method to get more of it.Let's get this straight. You question whether to trust MS but not ask the same question about Sony?
Sony, a company that made 120FPS, dual HDMIs and 4D claims before the PS3 launch. Gave you all these features (linux, card readers ect..)then slowly took them away after launch? Told you they'd never charge for online play, then turned around is now going to charge? Made a living lyng to the public about PS capabilites, (Toy story graphics ect..) dating all the way back to the PS1 days?
Yet you question MS and NOT Sony? Talk about hypocracy

I hope so.after all the backlash that made them take away the drm and online requirement in the first place you think they're scheming to restore it later once people are lured in?

Oh, yeah...I agree with that. They let the uneducated public ruin their console. They'll sell more, maybe(probably would've gained more sales when everyone saw how it worked at launch), but they missed a great opportunity.

[QUOTE="kingtito"][QUOTE="V3rciS"]You really have no idea what you're talking about do you? More games is more games and 360 had more than PS3. You keep playing that pure numbers game, meanwhile in 2013, I couldn't care less about the games they released over the course of 2005, or those ancient exclusives from around the same time. So you wouldn't play games from 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 or 2011? I thought cows loved playing old games since all they seem to care about are remakes and re-releases of old games. MS still came out with lots of games but fact remains multiplats is where it's at. Ms had Sony beat in that regard so go on claiming 360 has no games. Your claims =/= fact
Yea... I mean when xbox360 started it had a solid library and even some exclusives after few years though, MS completely abandoned it. Started releasing only Kinect games pretty much.
Plus the fact that they dropped DRM only because they were FORCED to do that, shows what their real intentions are. darkspineslayer
You know the same question could be asked of Sony. Don't tell me a couple of free games is all it takes for you to forget.
Why is is so easy to trust Sony after the PSN breach and the roofkit scandal? One was a consequence of poor security the other was just nasty.
You really shouldn't trust ANY corporation completely.Â
Because its Sony. They never do anything wrong. You know the same question could be asked of Sony. Don't tell me a couple of free games is all it takes for you to forget.

Your claims =/= fact I never said 360 had no games. They just have no exclusives for me to give a shit about anytime soon. Those games from 2005-2011 are old news, if I wanted to play it than I already have. I don't care about them now. I'll enjoy those very same multiplats on my PS3 and PS4. You're taking this thing far too seriously if the "cows" are getting to you that much.
I trust them about as much as I trust any company. Meaning I know that companies do what is in their best interest. They couldn't care less about me. I'm just a consumer in their eyes.
Do I think they are going to reverse their DRM stance yet again? No...People complained, they listened, and changed it. That's it. They did what they should have done.
You don't get it, man! MS is going to invade your house, hold you at gunpoint, and make you by an Xbox one! Sony gives you a free puppy with every PS4 purchase. I thought everyone knew this!!!!!!My guess is that the majority of people on here who don't trust MS never have, and weren't going to buy an XBone anyway.
The rest of us trust them about as far as any company deserves to be trusted. Meaning, doing what is in their best interest.

Point is, Kinect is a plate of dogshit and nothing more. I'm certain there are a large number of people WHO DO NOT play their console in "the living room". (I don't remember the last time I actually sat in my living room) Stop shaking that empty skull of yours...The X1 USED to be amazing. Now it's trash just like the PS4.

Sounds like you're downplaying the fact that MS was the company that was going to screw us over until the backlash occurred. I doubt you'd be as much of an apologist if Sony was in this situation. I don't trust MS because they could remove this from the architecture of the console, instead they do it with a patch. Somethings not right there.Â
