I dont want to raid on peoples parade, but i wonder if this is one of the coming RPGs Reggie said was coming to Wii U. Would be sweet to find out which ones he was hinting at. PS4 could grab it but i feel will cost them some big money to keep it from Nintendo.

I see this being multiplat PS4 and Wii U. Unless Sony have actually spent some money.

Not a big fan of this series, in all honesty. I'd like to be and I tried DQ8 and DQ9 but just couldn't. Maybe I'll be able to since there's such a dearth of JRPGs.

Dragon Quest has pretty much always been a high rated RPG title with fans. I'm excited

Never cared for this franchise. But I'm keeping an eye out. I hope it's not filled with the kind of tentacle porn that the Japanese crave in every JRPG.

This is very exciting. I still need to play II, III, IV, VII and VIII. I love the series though. There's something comforting about it that makes me addicted to it.

Can't really recall as it was quite a while ago that I played them, DQ8 specifically. Like, I understand that they're great games and I love me some JRPG turn-based combat awesomeness, plus I love Akira Toriyama's artstyle (just feels so nostalgic to me) and the music is wonderful. But the games just never clicked.

I'll consider trying them again sometime. I do wish I enjoyed them more.

The Wii U is just good enough to have a clean looking game with the DQ art style. I'd be cool with that. And seeing Finalstar flip flop would actually be worth it.

Though yeah, I'd much rather see it on the PS4. Hell, maybe SE will be a super cool bro about it and release a PC version as well.

I don't care if it's PS4 or WiiU. Hell, I say put it on both and the PS3 too! This is an immediate buy, no matter what. Been waiting for this since my first time through VIII.

the worst would be having it on a handheld again, I'm not expecting the next graphics king from DQ but I'd love to see what they could do with nextgen/ pc to further realize the fantastic worlds they create.

I tell you tho, if Sony managed to nail this as an exclusive that would be huge for their Japan stats, DQ has traditionally been a system seller and could potentially pull a large audience off handhelds.

@Chutebox: DQ is biggest gaming franchise in Japan its bigger than Pokemon, Monster Hunter and Yokai watch.

When it comes to Dragon Quest franchise i was only able to play Dragon Quest 8 back on the PS2, played it so much its not even funny and would love to experience that franchise again with this game besides there havent been any notable console DQ game anyways since DQ8.
