Dragon Quest XI announced!! PS4 And 3DS!!..and NX?

All announcements of the Dragon Quest conference:

• Dragon Quest Heroes 2 releasing to PS4 and PS3 this year in Japan
• Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3 for 3DS was shown with new footage
• Dragon Quest X announced for PS4
• Dragon Quest Arcade announced for Japan
• Dragon Quest XI announced for PS4 and 3DS
• Dragon Quest Builders footage was shown coming to PS4, PS3 and Vita

It'll run on Unreal Engine 4.

How the hell will they manage that on 3DS?

And with that, Japan finally upgrades to Gen8. Seriously.

Maybe N3DS?

Can't game engines like UE4 use low quality assets?

3DS and PS4 versions being developed separately. Basically, same story, but two separate developers developing two separate games based on it.

PS4 Version is Spike Chunsoft

3DS version is Toy Logic.

The field reminds of the one in Zelda U. I guess its the vibrant green and the way the grass looks. Looks awesome

The only question is that of localization.

I can only hope both get localized, and soon.

That dual screen thing though cool looking seems a little disorienting. Maybe it may just take a bit of gameplay to adjust.

I won't lie, that 2D mode on the bottom screen got me. SNES feels. Such a cool compliment to the 3d screen above.

It's not enough to make me cave on my handheld aversion. Though I did have have the fleeting interest for all of about 5 seconds and that's saying a lot.

Seems like what happened with Ni No Kuni. I'm excited and happy to be a gamer right now.

PS4 version of the game looks outstanding compared to your typical RPG.

Ok that last announcement has me confused Dragon Quest X and 11 got announced for Nintendo NX.

Man, the PS4 version looks pretty and all, and I'll be buying both, but this is the one that's won my heart.

Why the **** would they stretch this game so thin. I could see ps4 and NX working, sure. But the 3ds? Even with cross gen assets this game is getting nerfed from the ground up to fit on that piece of shit.
