Dragon Quest XI announced!! PS4 And 3DS!!..and NX?

The NX is due to launch in 2016. So is Dragon Quest XI.

Likely it would be an NX launch title, and in turn, roughly the same time as the other two versions.

The better question to ask is if the 3DS and PS4 versions will release at the same time, or if it will be something like Smash Bros. 4.

@PikminWorld: Likely whenever NX releases. It would likely anger fans of the other two platforms having to wait for that just so SE could do a simultaneous release.

Hopefully this is just a very early demo to show-off the character plus level design, but that massive town being deprived of NPC's bothers me way too much. It's something that has consistently bothered me since the 6th Gen days, games with very defined towns/cities/places wich would be clearly used by other characters but were instead empty. I know tech limitations were a part of that, but with current hardware that shouldn't be a thing anymore.

Square Enix regarding a Western release of DQ11:

"We don't have a concrete plan at the moment," it reads. "However, we will consider it as we've done in the past for other Dragon Quest titles. We don't have further information to share at the moment."

One thing to note is Shuhei Yoshida comment was in English!! could be something going on between Sony and SE regarding a localization?

The N3DS version looks pretty sweet. It has that old school feeling that I just love from the old Dragon Warrior games.

That looks incredibly charming, and swapping between the two styles to play the game is fun. I guess I wish they'd use the bottom screen as an informative display or something and then let you switch the look of the game at an instant either with a button press or in your menu. That's a neat gimmick, but I know I'd play most of the game in 3D with possibly a second playthrough in 2D to see how different it is.

Obviously thats why no NPC's are there, too early in dev, Square arent bungie where you're given a game with ZERO story mode, ZERO character development and ZERO NPC's to interact with.

@charizard1605: What bothers me about the 3DS version is that it will likely (and I'm taking a guess here) a N3DS "exclusive".Otherwise it looks cool (love the 3D+2D and how it affects the gameplay), and it'll probably be worth a buy since they will (apparently) share the same universe/world but be different games through and through.

Im excited for P5 but i'll be double excited the moment a concrete release date is announced for persona 5, while it would be great to have it release this year it seems highly doubtful at this point of time i mean we're almost in August and still no exact release date yet.

2. Stop going on about Bungie being mediocre. You're still playing their game. You're still paying them for every bit of pathetic content they release. You're factually enjoying the game they have put out. Bungie made one of your most played games this generation, and you wouldn't have even thought about playing it if it wasn't multiplat.

It was announced as a Nintendo 3DS game. New 3DS exclusive games (or even enhanced games) make sure to note the New 3DS functionality. I think we don't need to be worried about much here.

Seems the PS4 version is catered to the West and 3DS version is catered to Japan. Im sticking to my guess the PS4 one will release in America.

Im back on board the hype train, i should have checked out the 3DS footage, its gone be good.

Not having an official release date this late in the year really worries me about P5. No new info for like 5 months either.

In any case, I really hope what I mentioned is just a symptom of being an early demo.... it bothers me that they showed "NPC's" (not really, just the illusion of NPC's) walking on a bridge at some point, but the area itself completely devoided of anyone. I don't want any more towns with people just on the damn shops. No need for massive copy-pasted AC: Unity crowds, but AC1 crowds (or slightly lower number) would be enough to at least provide the illusion of "life" in the cities.

Just because i play the game dosent mean i cant highlight the flaws in the dev that made the game i play, yes the game is shitty and filled with cut content in every corner but its PvP (depite it being unbalanced) is fun, im hoping that all this critization will make the future of this franchise better

hundreds? hah! i got over a 1000 hours already LOL

i mean of course dont get me wrong they did get a lot of good things in the game specially raids but with every positivity you can highlight about the game there is always multiple negatives that follow.

i'll mention few:

• Raids are fun yet they are filled with glitches and cheeses where you could literally push a RAID boss off a cliff and win....
• PvP is highly addictive just like CoD yet unlike CoD PvP in destiny is lag fest, highly unbalanced literally everyone use 1 single weapon in all of PvP a highly OP weapon (like noobtubes were in MW2)
• leveling up is nice but literally everyone in the game look alike, you cant be uniqe in this universe
• etc etc etc

again they made an addictive game i give them that but as of right now it has more flaws than positives but hey there is always Destiny 2., honestly Destiny does feel like its their first game lol.. where that story at? :P

Everything is wrong in Destiny smh, i was about to leave the game then they introduce Trials of Osiris which is literally a Tournament for the best of the best players in the game, winning 45 PvP matches with NO LOSES unlocks an exclusive planet that only champions may you go to and unlock some of the best loot available in the game.

Personally, the PvE of Destiny always held more allure for me.

Ah, fucking Destiny... got tired of playing about a month or so ago because none of my friends were still playing it, and I only enjoy pvp these days, so I uninstalled it. Wouldn't you know not long after that I start seeing pals playing it again. lol

Then I get a email from Bungie trying to lure me back in with a promise of free strange coins. Guess I might just re-download the damn thing. :(

I played vanilla Destiny for about 25 hours and then moved on.

Do you have the game? you can always add me and i'll play the raids with you, i'll bring my clan with me as we are always open to help out anyone who needs help in the game, we'll explain everything that needs explaining for you to go forward so dont worry and i've done these raids over 200 times and god knows how many some of the members in my clan have done them for but yeah dont worry about losing in these raids when you play with my team.

Yes, Trials of Osiris is a Player vs Player mode and is also the hardest mode in the entire game which makes sense as your playing against real players, highly skilled players not just AI.

Trials of Osiris begins every week on Friday night and ends on Monday night, maps rotate every time the Trials are open, you buy a card to enter the trials, you gather a team of 2 (3 players mode) and go against other teams of 3.. winning 45 matches in a row with ZERO loses earns you the "Champion" title and gives you access to a secret planet that will earn you highly powerful loot. note you cannot bring anyone to this planet unless they were also champions.

you have no idea how addictive this mode this lol

anyways you guys if you all play on PS4 and have Destiny on PS4 just add me, i'll go through the entire game with you if you need, there's nothing else to do in the game so i'll gladly help out.

lol. I ask because technically, PoE got the same reason behind it that the Raids did, about cooperation with friends, so if PoE was allowed with randoms, we'd know Bungie is full of shit.

I'm hoping to finish the "Story" missions in Destiny tonight with a friend; only two left. Wasn't planning on continuing in the game.

Maybe if there's a System Wars group to play with I'd be inclined to hop on when my busy schedule allows...?
