It's funny how cows will point out the crowd in FH2 ( a driving game ) like it's a big deal but will gloss over the fact the cars in DC drive the same no matter the terrain and dirt doesn't kick up from the tires when off road.

I downloaded some of the videos from Gamersyde for uncompressed HQ videos. The environments do look great, however I noticed plenty of aliasing.

Overall it does look good, but it isn't like "OMG best graphics ever" totally overhyped by cows as always.

word, the game has no personality. reminds me of the regular forza games but at least those games have hundreds of cars and solid driving mechanics

This game looks terrible!!!!!. Now that we have direct vids without resorting to 10 second gifs. Look at the texture work..I'm in shock to be honest. Neo Gaf is tearing it a new one.

Takeaways:

• Mountain textures ........................................ are pathetic .. Mountains are one color?
• Road textures ............................................... pathetic to not so bad.
• Windshield reflections .................................. are buggy? wow it looks really bad.
• Track-side scenery........................................ is so so.. Not consistent. Sometimes good sometimes pretty bad.
• Car models.................................................... good
• Hood reflections ............................................ pathetic
• Sounds........................................................... poor... Good engine sounds for last gen.
• lighting............................................................ This would've been a 10/10 before I saw these vids. Now 7/10
• Aliasing .......................................................... Average

Anyone who complains about it's graphics is just jaded.

It does look good but not as great as what it was billed at. I'm surprised that Forza Horizon 2 looks much better. wow

Cant wait to play the most technical racing game ever on consoles

-best audio recordings of a car ever, espcially in a racing game(of in cockpit sound, outside the car sound, etc, no other game has as good audio and car sound quality as Driveclub

-beyond realistic maps and exact location placement and much more detailed environments then Forza

This game just looks better then Forza in every single way on a technical and graphical scale, and it looks better and more fun then Forza, DriveClub reminds me of Project Gotham Racing alot

I think DC looks just a tad bit better.

Looks very boring to be honest. But, I'm more into street racing. Wasn't planning on getting this game anyway, but it will be interesting to see what people say once it's out. The praises & meltdowns on here will be phenomenal.

Your eyes will never see the whole scene, especially not when traveling at 100mph. Its just the way our brains work.

It's kind of interesting that forza has gotten to the stage where it needs a 'killer'. The use of the statement in itself is practically admitting unrivaled genre dominance.

Considering that Forza slapped GT around all these years.

I think you need to get your eyes checked, roads do not become blurry after 5 meters for no reason.

Didn't take much for the Forza vs DC thing to start.

I still don't get people comparing DC to FH2. DC was a suppose to be a launch game and is a closed track racer, just like, you know, Forza Motorsport 5.

Besides, Horizon 2 is multiplat.

But i guess peasants jabbing at each other over every little minor detail is fun to watch.

Can't wait for embargo lift. Anyone know a date for that?

@ghostwarrior786: Those are not from a 240p video. They look like direct feed, 1080p. You try and blow up a 240p video to 1920x1080 and it will look a lot worse than that.

@ghostwarrior786: Your screens look better.....but I will see for myself soon. The other stuff can't be argued though like the driving mechanics and detail that every driving game should have i.e. dirt or dust kicking up when off road.

watch this vid, u can clearly see dust particles and the car damage model (yes car damage model, bu-bu-bu forza has car damage does driveclub??? @blackace). and no one reputable has complained about the driving mechinics, reaction has been positive so far. was hoping it was more nfs then forza/shift but it is more like forza horizon
