You show me a pic of DriveClub, I say that looks like shit. We're back to square one making no progress at all.

So you like Wasteland 2? I'm on the fence but mostly because all games I like are of the time sink variant.... It's going to be hard to resist if it's the Fallout 3 that never was.

The sound of the tires. The video you posted. That tire sound has range.... This, it seems static. The same. No depth. Maybe it can be patched.

Being the same sound is what makes it cringe worthy I guess.

I noticed it too when I first watched that vid. Tire sounds are some the hardest sounds to do apparently as every racing game gets them wrong.

I have seen games with tire squeal in the rain ... :D

If you like old school top down turnbased RPG's you should enjoy wasteland 2. It has flaws (some a bit glaring). Its a bit RPG-lite on conversations for my tastes and combat is a bit simplistic, attributes don't lend themselves to skills the way you feel they should (your str 9 melee monster is just as effective as a str 1 mewling at smashing things with the bash skill), but overall its a beautiful fresh breeze of a game in sea of mediocre sameness.

The best smell is unburnt petrol. Every time I fill my car up I'm in heaven. Diesel on the other hand doesn't smell nice.

It holds out longer though, doesn't it? Then again, performance isn't all that good.

If that is what the game looks like, wow. But I don't believe this, I don't believe the game looks that bad. That's far too much of a downgrade.

BUT , most importantly, which one looks and feels more like PGR? DriveClub for me most defitnetly.

How does it look and free more like PGR when it doesn't even have the most fundamentals similarities? It doesn't even have urban racing. Literally the only thing they have in common is that they both have cars.

It's nothing to do with "being a fanboy", the gameplay and the sense of speed and cars and feel of the game feels just like PGR, even if it doesn't have everything completely similiar, that's why, this isn't hard to see at all

It doesn't have any similarity, that's why it's hard to see. Other than the fact that they're both racing games. They have about as much in common as Gran Turismo and PGR or Mario Kart and PGR.
