Keep in mind, Bladestorm has not been reviewed here but is averaging 63% at GameRankings.com and Mutant Storm is averaging a 77%... while Mass Effect floats around 93% and of course a 8.5 here.

Is it just me, or does Edge Magazine need to no longer be quoted around these parts?

I myself am growing on the combat. Its not great but neither was KOTOR's combat and this game is basically KOTOR but different combat so far

And I love the film like look to it. If u play the game u know what I mean. It looks film like with a little grainyness to it, beautiful. I just wish they did KOTOR 3 cause I love the Star Wars universe... in terms of what is already in place etc..

Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but professional reviewers are not supposed to just give a score based on their personal preferences. They are supposed to judge the game from the unbiased stanpoint of whether or not the game is quality in regards to it's particular genre and for the fanbase that it will appeal to. And on top of that, the quality of the game in general as well.

I can't wait to try Mass Effect but it's less important than Halo 3 right now. That game pwns. And I hated Halo 2.

funny thing is I have noticed very very few of them. And certainly nothing that has stood out or was annoying in any way.

Not that I care for the publication but if I had to guess their review "crew" doesn't seem to like WRPG.

Their lowest scoring titles of the month are almost allWRPG. Coincidence? My guess leans for "no". ;)

I have alot of the lagging or whatever it is called, Im in the first mission when I move the hero and look around at the same time, it happens, I've noticed when pressing the A button to talk to Kaiden, the screen stops for 3-5 seconds then it plays again, I think it varies from copy to copy also.

I'm telling you that if you actually read EDGE magazine you'd see that it's nothing like gamespot and therefore "this game got a 9 and this one got an 8, the 9 must be bettter" isn't how things work.

Halo 3 for example; even if it was an amazing game, if it was full of bugs it would have been slapped with a 7 because they take into account the studio, the budget, the publisher, the director. They review games like movies are reviewed, taking far more into account than "this game is good therefore it gets an 8." Some games are expected to meet a certain standard; if it shows signs of laziness or being unfinished, it'll be penalised.

You will find a game with a 6 getting game of the month over other games getting 8's and 9's. Simply put, read the reviews, and all will become clear. Dont comment just on scores.
