Warhawk, definately. Uncharted, no. Uncharted was hyped AAA for about a year, and then suddenly AA in the official thread after the whole Lair fiasco. People played it safe, as was pointed out by many at the time. Changing your mind last-minute does not undo months of AAA hype.

Warhawk i agree with. Never hyped AAA; though it's an awesome game if you ask me. :P

People need to read the review and take it into account along side the score, rather than just looking at the number and leaving it at that.

I expected it to get 9.0. I'm disappointed, but I don't care. I'm still gonna pick it up after I buy Far Cry 2 for 360...

sorry peter, i dont buy games that are below 9.0 . its beneath my gaming standard. i prefer perfection or near perfection such as mgs4 or lbp.

If I didn't already have LBP on preorder, I'd probably get this game. As is, I can only play so many titles at once.

Uncharted,warhawk,and heavenly sword all met hype with AA, good try though.

I'm pretty sure that Uncharted and Heavenly Sword were hyped AAA.

HS was AAA hyped, Uncharted was AA.

That really about sums Fable up. This is the type of game that is all about the experience itself, and really is it's own kind of game which you either will love or hate depending upon your tastes. However, fans of the first one will without question be more than satisfied. Personally, as a huge fan of the first one who has seen most of Fable II played, it is everything I could ask for in a sequel. Cannot wait until tomorrow....great score btw.:)

There is no problem. :? Alls i did was agree with him that the text doesnt always match up to the score; you need to read the review to get the full opinion, rather than just look at the score and leave it at that.

I dont understand the disagreement.

Mabye you should play the game instead of trying to match up the review:| you won't be able to see his opinions as valid untill you try the game your self and confirm as much

What? :? I'm not hating/praising the game. I havent played it. I think you're really getting the wrong end of the stick. I'm just saying people should read the review and not just take the score at face value. Often you find stuff in the written review which could be deal-breaker, even if the game is scored AAAA, or stuff which sounds really appealing to you even if the score is low.

The only score that makes me rethink about a game a little anything 6 and lower. IN the end I still proboly still buy the game if i really really want it.

Nope just simple logic. Not hard to gage hype for something when 15 million posts get locked and a sticky had to be made. Fabe 2 didn't even reach that point.

No I called it anyway it is still a great game but alot of lems got owned predicting a AAAe here.

This is why we dont do official hype threads, but for when we did, they counted so no flop for uncharted.EVOLV3

Rrr, I'm torn right now. Buy Fable 2 tomorrow and mess around online with my buddy who's definetly getting it ASAP, or wait a week and save my 60 dollars for LBP?:(

In afew months they'll be doing that, again. Afew months after Gamespot gave MGS 4 a 10 afew starting to claim it was bias.

I do believe them. I'm not saying the score is wrong - i havent even played the game - i was just agreeing with TPOJ that sometimes the text of a review doesnt seem to match up to the score given. :)

Well it made it sound around the same as some of the 9 rated games. (but I think that is because of the .5 system, a game could be a X.5 or Y no real middle ground)

We go by gamespot scores here so yea it did fail in terms of hype but will still be a great game I guess.

Heavenly sword was hyped AAA until the lenght of the game announced,then everyone agreed with an AA.epic_pets

Load times, frame rate, easy money, mostly easy combat as a result of being able to buy exp and top weapons, with a few other things, made it feel like it didn't quite deserve that epic of a score, I still think it deserves AAA, but there are certainly issues that take away from the experiance. Also, being good is sort of annoying too, every single person says the same crap "a ring would look good on my finger", "you know some people are married, but some people have rings" and they spew out the same crap every 2 seconds, you can walk through town and be popular, without getting a headache, so you kill a few of them, and they leave you alone. Also, NPCs go back and fourth between lines too much like: omg your that murderer, oh your so famous, you deserve all your recocnition, the local shops are having a sale, your that murderer!

Still give it AAA with all thouse faults though.

Very true. The sad part is its never going to happen. Lems and Cows will be at eachothers throught for all eternity. Even after the members hear go away there will still be lems and cows at each others neck.

The Cow in me Says: "Hahaha... LittleBigPlanet all the way...mabye if your lucky Fable 2 will give your 360 RRoD and then you'll have a reason to pick up a 360 with some real games"

The Gamer in me Says: " it still looks like a good game and even though 8.5 is a Flop according to what Lemmings hyped it, it still looks very cool... If I was not getting rid of my 360 because the Disc Drive Broke and Microsoft will not fix it I would buy Fable 2"

Ive been here with out a membership ever since I got my 360...which was febuary 06.

um noo.... total opposite is the 360 trying to catch up with the PS3. The 360 just lost a potential AAAE title now Gears 2 is only left while the PS3 still hast 1-2 potential AAAEs Resistance and Valkriye sorry but the 360 lost big time here.

Very true. The First Fable was hyped like it was the second coming of christ. With this one, it never really went overboard.

Everyone had low expectations for Fable 2 after Fable 1 let down. Obviously the fanboys grew large enough to skew the real hype for the game. So everyone is calling it a flop. I already called it a flop just to be on the bandwagon
