Fallout 4 officially announced: PS4, XB1, PC

just because one does not exist, does not mean it shouldn't be put on as an expectation on Bethesda to make a game that isn't a buggy piece of shit. It is ridiculous how many polished games have come out during the time of their existence, yet somehow they go unscathed for their broken games.

Crossgen a possibility, in turn making Gamebryo a possibility.

You guys can't contain your excitement over something that's likely going to be shit for the reasons above.

Now I kind of hope this is, like, a Fallout MMO or something. Just to see the... fallout... from the announcement.

Once I hear the release date, I'm taking a one week off work just for Fallout 4.

Creation still uses some of Gamebryo's assets, at least from what I know. Definitely an improvement, but the engine hasn't been utilized beyond Skyrim. Ideally, they should use Id Tech 6 as their foundation.

And even then, it's still going to be a Bethesda Fallout. Once you go Obsidian it's hard to go back.

What's the point of losing your game in a myriad of announcements when you can create greater hype before/after it happens? E3 is only useful for Sony, MS and Ninty. The other publishers benefit quite a bit more from announcements outside E3, with some exceptions (think CoD, Fifa and the like).

I am like a kid on Christmas eve going nuts with the wait but for me it is the waiting for the video. I have been looking forward to this game since FO3.

You should give DA:Inquisition a go. Combat is quite a bit more light compared to previous ones (especially the first game) in the sense that it's more action oriented (mana/stamina auto-recharges, potions are auto-equipped and auto-restocked at certain points among other small things), but the world is quite nice and varied (each region feels and is different) and the main quest + character quests are quite nice, with multiple paths and outcomes (the rest are mostly pointless fetch quests though).

Use Dragon Keep too if you want to have your own story from the previous 2 games present.

Thanks for the info my friend, I have heard good things about the game though what's kept me from getting started on an RPG is time constraints so I really, really need to be out of my mind interested enough to invest in the game and for certain I know FO4 does that. Even then, I'll need to see where I'm at with life's other obligations once FO4 hits the street. Still, can't see myself missing this one. :)

@moistcarrot: It's serviceable I'd say. Definitely took a turn for the worse since DA2 in my opinion. Which is odd since I felt they really nailed the combat with Origins.

Oh yes. 8) Be grabbing this on PC, definitely the best option having played 3/NV on both 360 and PC. Just the sort of game mods are perfect for. I REALLY hope it's coming this year though, not sure I can handle a longer wait. Probably the most hyped I've been for a game in a long time!
