The trailer was good and very familiar. Another glitchy ass game I'll have lots of fun playing for sure.

gfx and animations miles below gtav and shitfamous. Witcher3 and Unity are a gen ahead.

All I wanted from the game was good animations and we get 15 year old subpar quality animations, but nooooooo better not say anything about a large game company that can't create movement that looks real. GTA, Witcher, Infamous, Red Dead Redemption, Just Cause are all huge open world games with better animations than Fallout. Now f off

Honestly, I'm not bothered by the animations or the graphics at all. They look fine to me. I'm used to Bethesda games not having the best graphics & animations without mods. I guess I didn't have my expectations high on those aspects. I'm more concerned about the game-play when it comes to Fallout games. With that being said, I enjoyed the hell out of Fallout 3 a lot, and I'm sure this one will be great as well.

Don't go in expecting great graphics when an elder or fallout game comes out. expect fun, Then again complain and elder scrolls 6 will probably have a new engine and be 5-6 years away.

Graphics are bad and I think that's worth talking about, because what was clear from the trailer was that Bethesda is still using the same ol' engine they've been using forever.

Yeah, it looks better than Fallout 3. It looks better than a game that came out in 2008. Truly we are in the next generation of gaming. :^)

it looked like call of duty. lighting looked good. they couldn't step it up because of the xbox one, it has to be playable on it.

They are using Creation Engine,the same one used for Skyrim.

Cool that a new Fallout is finally coming out. As for the graphics, while I agree that it isn't very impressive it still looks better then Fallout 3 and New Vegas and lets be honest it's Bethesda we are talking about. Their games are not known to have the best graphics ever made.

Oblivion was described by the press as the first "next-generation RPG." The game was used to market the 360. From 2005-2006 it was among the best-looking games.

It's disappointing that boundaries aren't being pushed again with Fallout 4, Bethesda's first game of this generation.

Still waiting on proof.

I think people should also hold off on blasting the graphics until we know just how big the map is.

They aren't catering to the last gen consoles, so it isn't out of the question that the map could be 2x bigger than Skyrim's, if not bigger.

Yeah I was just staring at the box art on Amazon.com ......I'm beyond excited, this is euphoria I think.....Fallout 3 is one of my top 5 games from last gen. The release date is listed as 2015 .....hmmmm, so this is what my gaming diet will be primarily composed of in the next 6 months: Witcher 3, Fable Legends, Forza 6, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Killer Instinct , Halo 5, Fallout 4, Batman, .....just to name a few.......pretty sweet.

Fallout 3 looked like shit for 2008 standards. NV looked extra shit for 2010 standards. But we all liked both games even tho the graphics and animations were laughable. I think it looks like shit. I'll probably be getting this day 1 but I'm not impressed with the trailer. I'll definitely be following it at E3. I love Fallout 3 and NV so I'm still hyped.And what's with all these Obsidian cry babies? Christ, people act they're the best developer out there....

I admit the environment was impressive back then but the character models were always very ugly but I get your point since at least there were parts that was impressive while today their current games not so much.

Gonna run 10fps on ps4 while it'll run 30+ on Xbone.

Well, it looks like I finally have the incentive to buy a new console. Unfortunately, my PC won't likely be able to run this and I'm not spending the $100s (64-bit OS, new PSU, RAM, and GPU) it would take to bring it up to snuff.

Since my employer technically owns my desktop, I probably shouldn't upgrade it anyway...I think its against policy.

My sentiment as well. I really enjoyed Fallout 3 the first time through. I was new to the Fallout universe, so my experience wasn't tainted by the past and I didn't really care about the ending everyone hated...it the journey and not the destination I enjoy in open world games.

That said, after I thoroughly played New Vegas and then gave Fallout 3 another play through, I found that I enjoyed New Vegas much more.

Fallout: New Vegas used the vibe from the classics. Problem with Fallout 3 was that it missed the point entirely, and just came across as silly. Perfectly edible food that has been left 200 years lying around. What were they thinking?!? Not to mention, after this time, the old world should have been more or less fully looted. Fallout focuses on the rebuilding of society, not the scavenging of the old society. Yet, what was indicated in this trailer, it seems that people are just now leaving the vaults and societies just now, rebuilding.

Edit: Didnt even mention the complete mockery that was vampires. Which felt way out of place. Furthermore FO3 sported a lot of technology that didnt seem to be based on future technology predicted in the 50s. They may be wielding the warhammer that is fallout, but they wield it very clumsily, not really knowing how to swing it.

If true, this game just became even more pathetic than it already gave the impression of being. Then again, not like Bethesturd even implemented character sex in Fallout 3 in any meaningful way.

I think they nailed the 200 year old food part, because the joke of things like Twinkies has always been "they'd last hundreds of years". Most of the time you looted, it was from villains or from areas that were protected by animals that would kill an NPC. But, I gave them a lot of license - we are talking about a post-apocalyptic "world of tomorrow".

I guess to each his/her own. I found both of them quite entertaining.

Animations in this game look as bad as in any Bethesda's game. They just keep reusing the same ass old animation and the same voice actors of theirs over and over again. The game visually looks like an upgraded version of Skyrim. BUT it will be downgraded, I guarantee it. The grass will become less detailed, wall corners from smooth will become as sharp as the edge of a knife, lower polygon count in everything.

So allegedly, this video is claiming (with a screen cap) that Fallout 4 got a release date on Gamestop Italy of 10/23/2015. Seems like that is a little too soon from reveal to release... but, Idk.

that could happen. they released Skyrim on a friday and October 23rd is actually the day the bombs fell in Fallout lore. if i remember right, they even wanted to release Fallout 3 on that date but it got pushed a few days later
