what makes me kidna angry is that all these reviews are only using the 360 versions of the game for reviewand maybe PC. No PS3. which makes me think Obsidian didnt even send out the PS3 version of Review code, meaning they probaly know that version is garbage, meaning that proves what I thought all along.

But that means they (Obsidian) arefavoring the 360 version already.

i think jeff's review is pretty much spot on, i'll see tomorrow though, I anticipated it would score AA and have technical problems, but naturally, the characters and gameplay would shine.

Looking through the reviews that are up I am reminded of a double standard that seems to exist. Most of the reviews seem to complain that it is too much like Fallout 3, but they feel that Fallout 3 was great. You look at other games, like the Call of Duty series, and people don't seem to complain about each game being too similar to its predecessor, and they still think each is great. Is it just that RPGs have higher standards in what is expected to change from game to game in a series?Zero5000X

It loading way to slow for me. not sure how legit these guys are either, I perfer LoT or DF, but they take too long.

Looks like the PS3 version has better textures, but the 360 version has AA.

Yeah, I am as well. The loss of texture detail on those 360 photos was pretty noticeable. Interesting to see how our usual comparison sites rate the two versions.

Just got home with my copy! :D It's a little late to get far enough in to make it worth starting tonight, probably just read the manual. But tomorrow afternoon is gonna be awesome!

Well, PS3 version seems to be missing Shadows and looks washed out as well.

I only noticed shadows in one of those pictures, and they looked identical in both pics (third from the bottom).

Ars Technica's review is up (360 version). Long story short: New Vegas is a solid title and does a quality job with the setting, but isn't much of a departure from the Fallout 3 formula (for better and worse) and (surprise surprise) suffers from some nasty bugs and long load times.

After reading some reviews, I'm doubting this game will get AAA on GS. 8.5 (or maybe even 8.0) seems likely now. On 360, even with the game installed, apparently the load times are still very long. And G4TV, Joystiq, and Giantbomb are all saying the technical glitches are WORSE than Fallout 3, and annoyingly so with crashes and other issues (guards randomly levitating off the ground, enemies disappearing into the ground before you can kill them, etc).

LOVING this game so far, the story, voice acting and atmosphere is MUCH better then in Fallout3 imo.

I have played for two hours and have not had any crashes or bugs. I am playing on PC version.

finally preorder the game and the guide book. cant wait till i try this soon once im in the states.

Tossing up between getting this on ps3 or xbox. Think it will run better on the 360 as was the case in fallout 3?
