Nothing will ever change if nobody never says anything. Better than the console gamer approach of bending over and opening their wallets when companies do things they don't likeBPoole96Hopefully they don't change it. If people don't purchase the title over something as insignificant as a DD method then I presume they weren't actually interested in the title to begin with.
What's your issue with GFWL? You either want to play a video game or you don't - people are making it sound like the DD method is important ;)I'm not buying it if it uses GFWL, so... signed it. Hopefully they change their mind.
An alternative would also include just sticking the damn thing on GoG and letting me have it DRM-free, but if they settled on GFWL, then Steam is a huge step up.

I'm not pleased with GFWL but I'll buy the game anyway. I think them using GFWL is just asking for people to pirate t though since pc gamers hate GFWL

When i said "i want this game to come to PC" i also had "But i will only buy it if its a proper port and aslong as it dont use GFWL" GFWL is a deal breaker for me the times i have used it... The problems... They send shivers down my spine... How can someone code something this badly?
This is pathetic. Namco Bandai was finally kind enough to port it over to the PC after a huge petition movement and now hermits want even more? It's never good enough for PC gamers. Not to mention there's an entirely logical reasoning behind having it on GFWL. Dark Souls was designed and programed with PSN and XBL in mind and since XBL and GFWL have nearly the same exact infrastructure, From Software and NB wouldn't have to spend additional funds and resources to completely rewrite the netcode for Steam.AcidSoldner
GFWL sucks, it will result in a loss of sales.

I've never had significant problems with it - and by significant I mean nothing that I haven't had on Steam, etc.
Personally I dislike both Steamworks and GFWL,but I still signed the petition since Steamworks is the lesser of two evils here IMO...
But still, whatever DRM of these two they use,I'm buying the game, can't wait for August :)
We've been petitioning for a long time to get this port, would be a shame to throw all that away now...
At least we don't create petitions to KEEP GAMES EXCLUSIVE, like you cows. So what if they want to play a game on steam? I think it's great they do that. Cows created petitions to keep FFXIII exclusive to PS3, when the franchise was never SONY only. Cows also boycotted Capcom for Making Devil May Cry a multiplat... A MULTIPLAT! Cows were still getting these games in both situations, but it wasn't enough. They wanted to act like spoiled whittle babies and not share. This is why cows are looked down on.
lol@ console fanboys..if you knew just how bad GFWL was for PC gamers you would understand exactly why it's hated. lawlessxProblem on your end clearly, I've had nothing significantly wrong with it in my usage. But then, it's a video game - if you don't want it, don't buy it...don't have a tantrum about some sort of entitlement over it not appearing on your favourite service. You're a PC gamer, you shouldn't expect some sort of inflated first party propping you along with every developer catering to it. I'm sure they have their reasoning.
The final fantasy 13 petition threads were hilarious. tons and tons of ps3 fanboys getting worked up saying they felt "left out" in a way.At least we don't create petitions to KEEP GAMES EXCLUSIVE, like you cows. It was actually amazing, they acted almost like a cult. A large group of people, literally making up nonsensical reasons to keep a video game on one piece of plastic.

I don't like it, so I don't use it. Simple as that. No crying from me. If it comes with GFWL I just don't buy it. If it requires Origin, I just don't buy it. If it requires a DRM method I generally avoid it, the exception being Steam since I've taken to buying games digitally off of them, so I don't mind being tied to a service if I buy digitally. Though GoG is slowly providing an alternative to even Steam, they just don't have the newer games yet, nor do they have the sweet discounts, but they'll get there in due time.
My main gripe about GFWL is that save files between different accounts can't be swapped. Plus, the user interface is pretty terrible.
Dunno if I will pick this one up or not, but all signs are pointing to a cheap console port.

Hmm, I'd suggest you buy a console - that way you can be assured the DD/DRM method is static. Want freedom in games, despise the same for developers/publishers too it seems![QUOTE="NeonNinja"][QUOTE="Ravensmash"] What's your issue with GFWL? How embarrassing. You give the nerdy little bastards what they want and they still b*tch and complain.
Another friggin petition to not use GWL. LoL! Oh you herms. No wonder the gaming industry hates dealing with you. http://www.gamespot.com/news/gamers-rallying-against-dark-souls-pc-using-games-for-windows-live-6371507ispeakfact
PC gamers do not like to use silly xbox live integration. They could not care less about it, it just gets in the way.
