Disappointed with the demo. I'm gonna pass on this. The game looks really dated and I see they still insist on using the same ol lighting that makes the cars look like toys.
Wow! Forza fans you are in for a treat, been playing for a few hours now and all I can say is this might be the best Forza game yet.
Everything about Forza 5 has been improved, particularly the presentation....and for once in a Motorsport title, I'm really enjoying the soundtrack. For both the online hoppers and leagues, there are collision-off introductory lobbies, and everything is silky smooth. Not a single hitch online, and I hope it stays like that for the wider release on Sept. 15

It would have to be based on the general consensus of the forum. Was there really that big an interest around Forza 6 around here to determine a hype level? I hadn't really noticed much

Secondly, that gif certainly isn't representative of the actual graphics, not to mention that it looks like the Top Gear level which has limited scenery, and is based on a real location.
Of course that pic is designed to make Forza look bad, they could have chosen the Brazil level for instance.

You were doing so good. :( Acknowledging even the most hardcore lems had no faith in a core franchise to even bother with a HYPE thread for fear of the FLOP.
Then you had to try a redirect to PS4 games, a classic movie disguised to diminish capacity of this very thread and Forza dropping in quality, score and faith in the lem community.
It's ok though, I'll do my best to recommend no further SONY Hype thread be made as it's just not fair to put their games out there for criticism of the FLOP and not be returned the favor.

Ahh just as I thought. 6 sentences by my count where I give my opinion on why nobody made a F6 thread and why the franchise is fatiguing. Yet you 4/5 lines in your text focuse on the one simple question about this genre on the PS4. A simple question is all. I heve one free racer, Driveclub and have had some fun with it at times. But with FH2 just being a better, tighter racing world I don't play it much. I thought you could help me out.

Also lol at the comments of that review that think the replays not being 60fps was the reason it got an 8.
The "the law of diminishing returns" is a wild concept to the gaming audience, and honestly to developers as well. It's obviously it would take a lot for turn 10 to ever make a bad Forza game necessarily, but we're at a point where they've made so many that unless they reinvent the racing games it's probably a franchise that peaked creatively at like Forza 3.
I expect a lot of this scored "less than Forza 5"...when it should be like...the Forza 5 review is just shitty, not this one.
Indeed. However, the plethora of content added in for Forza 4 was a big step forward. It's really a shame that they need to keep dialing up the visual fidelity of these games while cutting back on all the content they've achieved up to this point. I didn't have any interest in Forza 5 for that very reason. Sure, it looks great, but I can't use all the cars I used in FM4. At least now FM6 has improved that a little, but it's going to have to wait till FM7 until we get back to where we were content-wise.

I've been here nearly as long as you have. I know how the game works, but I know a hype thread was never required to determine if there was hype for a game. There are just some games that you know what the hype is without it being put down.

I don't agree. This is by far the biggest leap since FM 3.
FM 4 had minor updates, it was an expensive perfection of FM 3. FM 5 was like a highly playable prototype. All of the next gen ideas were there, but the it wasn't perfected and the content wasn't ready.
FM 6 has a new engine, and a whole lot of new features built into the base game that have been asked for since launch. AND all the content that it needs.
My problem with the review is that, this is as whole and a well done, package as you're going to get on a FM game. And the flaws are so minor.

All the talk about Forza being a AAA franchise and blah blah blah. Now that it hasn't scored AAA well we never hyped the series to be anything higher than AA. Yeah right.
