Wow, It's like Turn 10, has been doing this for 100 years.

Every flaw from forza 2, has been fixed, And every possible flaw I can think of, has been fixed.

Ohh man. Ohh-Rah.

Good time to be fan of the genre,

Heck, good time to adventure into the Genre.

I am happy this game is looking so good, but imagen if it flopped, lol, SW would explode.

I don't think it can. I could see gt5 having a higher chance of flopping than this, due to gamespot trying to prove something, and gt5 NOT having all of these gameplay features, and focusing rather on technical features that rarely get mentioned in reviews. Like really, when have you seen a review praise something like variable daylight? I see the possibility of rally being a negative due to not matching a full rally game like dirt. Not to say that gt5 will be worse in any way, It's just when I look through a reviewers eyes, I see more score raising stuff in forza.

Making these bold statements is useless at this point

There is no way Polyphony could get GT5 out before Forza 3 and have all this integrated into it.

He never said anything about that, He just said there is no way GT5 could be better

until u have played the final versions of both dont make such claims bro plzstereointegrity

The final version of Forza 3 comes out in less than three months... if the game isn't in beta testing now, it won't make release.

TEh FOrZA!!! SUKS!!!

Are you really looking that hard to pick it apart.....It's that bad?..You comment on a reflection from a still shot that you will never see during gameplay..but cant comment on any of the revealed gameplay elements?

Try to stay on topic...

What did you think of the information shared in the interview?

Anyone still under the delusion that GT5 will be better than this must surely be beginning to realize how wrong they are.

I've already got my GameStop Limited Edition pre-order locked in. Gonna have to pick up a wheel too.

It's going to be a very nice winter.

What can Polyphony possibly do to top this? What Turn 10 is delivering here is nothing short of the ultimate motor-racing sandbox/MMO/career game. With the physics, damage, AI, car catalog and graphics to back it up, all powered by Xbox Live. No other motor-racing game has even come close. GT5 isn't even in the same league.

Everyone thought Turn 10 was showing hubris when they said they had no competition. But ever so slowly, they are backing up their statements. They've raised the bar a mile high, and there is nothing to indicate polyphony (or anyone else) has any shot of clearing it.

We don't even haveone screenshot of GT5 :|

It has 800+ cars, the offical licenses for WRC and NASCAR, real time weather, damage modelling for the first time, the Top Gear track (win) and incredible graphics. Eveything we know about the game is in that sentence. Everything.

And that makes another point against GT5. I don't know what Polyphony is doing over there, but whatever it is, it doesn't seem to involve releasing games. No GT Mobile and no GT5, just a glorified demo of GT4 HD with online play. That you had to pay for.

Forza 3 is better than GT5 for the simple fact that Forza 3 is actually coming out soon, while GT5 is nowhere to be found.

Honestly? I think it's cool. I'll be buying this once I get a new 360 fo' sho'. It's certainly a fun game, and at times I prefer it over GT (my favorite console sim) because its that fun. Though I've never really cared for the community that came along with the game, I just want to tune up my car and race it against others. Personally, I THINK (considering not much info about it is out) I will like GT more, simply because of the history I've had with it and the shear amount of content that they provide will keep me coming back for more. I've easily put over 200 hours in GT4 and probably over 1000 hours in the GT series alone.

Anyway, like I said, I'm already getting this game when it comes out lol. I just like seeing reactions from that picture.

Agreed, but at least they contained code that could be used in GT5

GTPSP should have been put behind GT5 or canceled imo

I always assumed GTPSP was canceled. I hadn't seen anything from that game in like 5 years.

Unless Polyphony spends the next two or three years copying Forza 3, there is absolutely no way GT5 will even come close to Forza 3. Period.

While this is going to be a great game, Turn10 was showing hubris. Considering they know almost nothing about what PD is doing, they can't make such big claims, it can only hurt them in the long run. Also, previous console racers haven't come close because of hardware. Not to mention that Forza 3 is the second xbox 360 racer they've made, so they had more time with it. Also, just because there is nothing to indicate that PD has anything to top it doesn't mean its not there. Just because you didn't see the bullet coming doesn't mean it won't knock you down. Know what I mean?

Wow this is looking to be pretty good.

The customisation in this game is definately its strong point. I loo forward to tuning cars and stuff.

lso with the GT5 Vs Forza 3 thing, tbh right now it looks like both games will be great. Neither will be better at everything, both will have storng and weak points... well strong and not so strong points, neither are weak :P

Yeah, I'm at half-mast just thinking about Forza 3. It's going to be a pain in the ass balancing my steering wheel on my lap when I finally get to play it.

PBSnipes

I wanna build something to support the pedals and the wheel, I have plenty of wood, just havent thought of a nice design for it.

I'm actually thinking about doing this little project. Between Forza, GT 5 and Shift, I'm gonna use a steering wheel quite a bit.

If they don't want to lose their self-proclaimed "real driving simulator" status, they had better show something at TGS (or even GamesCom). And by 'something' I mean more than yet another pointless trailer.

I wouldn't count PD out just yet. The only thing that I'm worried about in GT5 is the online. For some reason Japanese developers can't seem to "get" online. It's almost always a total mess.

I think the best place to show people GT5 is in Europe and gamescom is the best event for that showcase and Sony's conference gonna last for 3 hours so I expect there is a big showing for GT5.....I hope.

Btw TGS and Gamescom events going to be late this August, right?

Yea, it seems Capcom is the only company that is getting used to online implementation.

Yeah, Capcom is actually trying and will probably be the first to implement a online system that might actually be fun and intuitive to use.

All that has been shown is a season mode that you don't even have to follow. :| Do people actually think that this will give it an advantage over gt5? From what i have read this does not seem very in depth, just different stages and racing events. The tuning, car customization and online have always been Forza's strong points. From what I've read in IGN's preview this hasn't changed and its just an upgraded Forza 2 in every way possible( which is generally what a sequel is supposed to be). It seems that all of Turn 10's boasting and premature celebration is rubbing off on its fans.

TGS can't come soon enough, I hope they show GT5 this year in Gamescom or TGS.

Im sure it will blow us away too.

HAZE-Unit

If they don't want to lose their self-proclaimed "real driving simulator" status, they had better show something at TGS (or even GamesCom). And by 'something' I mean more than yet another pointless trailer.

I think the best place to show people GT5 is in Europe and gamescom is the best event for that showcase and Sony's conference gonna last for 3 hours so I expect there is a big showing for GT5.....I hope.

Btw TGS and Gamescom events going to be late this August, right?

TGS Sept 24-27th. Metal Gear Rising :)

Your trying to to hard. Have you noticed how few PS3 owners have come into this thread and done what you are trying to do? Forza 3 looks awsome and it is clear. It looks pretty silly coming in saying Forza has not really done much.

Yeah there are some aspects that were not very exciting but there are some other features that got me excited for the game, in a matter of fact very very excited.

And I agree with you on the other point, Turn 10 are overhyping their game to the point that they are talking about every tiny inch of their game as the best thing ever happened to gaming.

Its ridiculous the statements Turn 10 are making about the competition, they should really focus on making their game the best it can be. Which is exactly what Polyphony is doing. They don't have a checklist in their office saying we need this, that, and all of the above. They set a goal as Yamuachi has said and make their best efforts to acheive it, and whatever they accomplish from that they hope will set the new industry standard higher. Turn 10 has set up a really fun way to progress through the game, but i don't think it will be a defining factor when you compare these two games. Bare bones your still racing on tracks, getting money/xp to buy new cars and race more events. This is racing 1984-2009.

Ugh.

Why do you even bother posting in Forza threads if all you're going to do is bash it?

What has been shown of GT5 that makes it so much better than what we've seen of Forza 3? Night racing? (which has already been in GT) Rally? (Which has also already been in GT) NASCAR? That's a very nice feature, but I don't see how that automatically makes this so much better than what has been shown of Forza 3. Beyond that, what has even been shown of GT5? What do we know for sure about the game? Virtually nothing in comparison to Forza 3. We "know" that there will be NASCAR implementation of some kind, WRC implementation of some kind damage (although all we know is that it will be in Rally races) and that it will be very pretty. That's it. What's to stop anyone from saying GT5 is "just an upgraded GT4" as well?

Let's not act like Polyphony hasn't been arrogant in the past regarding the GT series.

If anything, Turn 10 has some catching up to do in that department.

Oh please.

Everything you said about Forza 3 was negative. Don't tell me you need me to highlight it for you.

"The Real Driving Simulator"

But honestly, trash talk is fine if you deliver the goods.
