Gamespot chooses Hitman Absolution and Wii U as winners of E3 2011 - SWM @ E3

Here's my problem with the ninty conference. The console unveiling was a muddled mess. Instead of telling us about the entire system, they wasted time with testimonials from developers. The controller is an amazing idea but for the life of me I still couldn't tell you a damn thing about the system itself.

When they announced the Wii I had a pretty decent idea what the system was about. For this new "thing" they just completely glossed over the actual console and slathered on about the fricking controller.

I'm not sure what to think of the Wiiu yet, only thing is I honestly think it was announced to early.

Also did something a company should never do while reveling something big. Which was confuse the entier audiance. Everyone was like wtf is that I dont get even the people on g4 like adam sessler was like hu?

We need specs for this thing. Actually, we first need to see what 'this thing' looks like. They didn't make much of a point of showing us the console itself. The online service wasn't detailed. NO GAMES FOR IT YET. Price? Launch lineup? Damn it Nintendo. Very disappointing. The 3DS was the highlight, along with Super Smash Bros. 4, but that's IT. Sony won, although theirs wasn't much better than Nintendo's either.charizard1605

Darksiders 2, Batman Arkham City, Ninja Gaiden 3 are Games Announced for WiiU.

Not to mention Tekken and Full EA Support so we could see Battlefield 3 playing on this thing.

Yeah they're multiplats but Nintendo Said It'll be Full Backwards compatible (Gamecube and Wii) and They're talking about making a New Smash Bros. Game for it.

Yeah Wii U has Games, Just not a whole lot was shown for it.

nintendo fans are being fooled ... they're entering this current late with this thing, its not a next gen console IMO.

Sony and MS will show us things that rival pc specs.

Nintendo 8.5/10-only for me personally because I own a 3ds and they showed great games

Sony 7/10- some good games but for me nothing special

EA 6.5/10- showed the games I wanted just I knew about it

Ubisoft 6/10- some good games but a god awful host

Microsoft 5/10- I hate kinect dont want it

Nintendo wins for me

As horrid as it was, MS even had a better conference than Nintendo. I mean, the same tired rehashes. The WiiU which did absolutely nothing to encourage me to buy it. Poor E3 overall, but I'm just too grown for Nintendo's childish approach....

Project Sora was too busy with Kid Icarus to make a Trailer.

Impressions of what little is known about the WiiU.

• It officially beats Vita for the stupid name award for E3 2011.
• That controller looks terrible to hold.
• The unveiling was a confusing mess.
• From a technical and price standpoint, there's still nothing known.
• It could be used in interesting ways but until it's actually shown as such in real games. Do not want... yet. I don't mind waiting longer to transition to a new gen.

My rough scores for the conferences I watched:

• Nintendo B.1

Basically, what I got from the Wii U is

• It can function as a Split Screen for Multiplayer
• Makes the Wii Graphics HD (somehow)
• Turns the Wii into a "DS Console" of sorts.

It sounds promising, but all Nintendo showed for it was multiplats which doesn't make me want to get one since I have both a PS3 and 360.

If this is a real game or better said, if is not CGI, then color me impressed.

Looks more like a Tech Demo than Anything. Remember Final Fantasy 7?

Was anyone else dissapointed by Mario 3d. I dont want to jump to conclusions but it looked on rails like a 2d game but in a 3d plane. I wanted a huge 3d game world like 64 and Sunshine, this was probably my biggest dissapointment of the show.
