Gamespot chooses Hitman Absolution and Wii U as winners of E3 2011 - SWM @ E3

The fact that people are still asking whether it's a console shows how muddled this announcement was.

Wii U, more like Pii U. I really want to play a game where I hold a screen in front of a screen. Looks stupid to me. Nintendo really has let me down in the console department this gen and looks like they will next gen.

Nintendo's E3 conference did nothing for me. The controller looks uncomfortable; analog sticks on top of the buttons? No new game announcements for the Wii, and the WiiU is practically getting multiplats. Conference was confusing at times; I had no idea if WiiU was a new console or controller since every speaker was calling it both, and I'm still on the fence with 3DS.

What didn't EA revealed Battlefield 3 for the Wii U? I confuse.

Judging from the Conference, Didn't see their Name.

Judging by Games, I'm sure Activision will release a Call of Duty Collection or Something like that for the Console.

Now There is no Rockstar support or Epic Support (THIS WILL HURT NINTENDO) at this time. So yeah....

Did anyone else feel underwhelmed with the 3DS after seeing the Vita last night? I did, I was getting the 3DS first not so sure now.FIipMode

While the 3DS line up looked promising, I couldn't shake off the PSP Dejavu; games that would seem to be better fit on consoles being on handhelds instead.

Also did something a company should never do while reveling something big. Which was confuse the entier audiance. Everyone was like wtf is that I dont get even the people on g4 like adam sessler was like hu?

Yeah that was the biggest problem in this conference. They should had just reveal the console first then talkabout the controller.

Buying Wii U and the Vita.

And I thought this generation was the peak in the price per additional controller. I mean the Wiimote + Nunchuck combo is almost 70-80 euros in my country. But the new WiiU controller will definetly make those 70 euros look like a steal, that thing looks like it's gonna cost at least an additional 120 euros, so little chance for 4 player with streaming controllers here.

They're Nintendo, so they're allowed to do exactly what Microsoft and Sony did yesterday and be praised for it. :P

Yea I dont get why noone is bringing this up. Its like ignoreing a giant hole in the middle of the street.

Both Sony's and Microsoft's presentations were crap, MS showed way too much for the Kinect and neither showed much that we didn't already know about with few major reveals. Nintendo finally showed games people expect from a Nintendo system (granted mostly for the 3DS) which they have failed to do for multiple E3s. They showed off an interesting system albiet with not a whole lot of information on it and no games (but it is still in development and both MS and Sony didn't show anything but prototypes either when their systems were first shown) but it definately raised some interest. Nintendo by far had the best conference out of the three, not much there for hardcore gamers (it's Nintendo what did you expect?) but they are definately moving forward while appeasing their main audience... something that both MS and Sony failed at quite frankly.

I do know that my 3DS will be getting a ton of playtime this holiday. 3DS sells should be huge.

No way Luigis mansion trumps that game by miles. 3ds hyped like it was this powerful gamecube level machine yet all they have shown looks mediocre. The mario Kart demo looked same old same old with pixelated graphics, zelda and star fox are remakes. And what the f*** no Kingdom Hearts or Paper Mario Trailer. Vita outshined the 3ds this week.

Exactly. I thought we were promised core games? Epic makes the engine that powers most core games... why is Epic not on board? What about Rockstar?charizard1605

I'm happy to own a 3DS after the conference, but can't say I'm looking forward to the Wii U (worse name than the pretty bad name of Vita lol).

Luigi's Manison 2, Super Mario 3DS, and Mario Kart 3DS looked cool. I just hope Mario Kart 3DS is more like the DS version and less like the crappy Wii version.

Kid Icarus doesn't look that compelling though imo.

I might buy the LoZ Link's Awakening later today though. Also want to watch those 3D trailers that were mentioned.

Wheres xenoblade, last story, pandoras tower, dragon quest 10 etc? Why would you focus on a new console when you have nothing to show on it yet. You've got plenty of games to choose from on wii still to localize!

This e3 was overall terrible.
