[QUOTE="Master_ShakeXXX"]by success you mean... what exactly? :?Give it up lems. The game was a huge success, one of the best games of the gen, and there's not a damn thing you can do about it. This game just amazed me to no end.

Do I really have to answer that for you? Critical and financial. What the hell else would I mean by that.

That has a 93% average at Meta, and scored a 9.0 here ... DAYUM! GoW3 must have one amazing single player campaign ... UNLESS all Reviewers thought the game was being sold at 19.99!!
Damn Sony and SM ... sneaky sons of guns!!
You know, going by footage and images, GOW3 looked really good...an obvious improvement. But Now that i've beaten the game i'm left with a bad taste in my mouth.
While SM did wonders with SCALE and the overall SIZE of things, gameplay and story-wise..GOW3 was nothing special...like it was rushed and simply made for those 2 first reasons, like some tech demo.
Animations seem so dated i was expected realism and weight to the character, but this is just a recycled PS2 animations for the most part. Add the clipping issues and the fact that he moves like his moon walking.
The story simply got..well, boring...dragging on, it's hard to explain...it's like SM kept throwing enemy after enemy to make up for the lack of better story telling and then make up for it with a LARGE boss, didn't feel as satisfying as GOW2, IMO.
While graphics looked good, i don't see where everyone gets the whole GRAPHICS king from..the only GOOD looking thing is Kratos's model, the rest is a lot of unrealistic plastic shine. Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 look better.
I'm scratching my head wondering how HIP HOP gamer actually said GOW3 looks like a PS4 title. while having the nerve to call the review opinions of IGN and Gamespot idiotic. Funny stuff.
Anyways, that's my opinion....thoughts?

im the biggest gow fan but it seems that they showed off all of the epic parts like the posiedon fight and the cronos fight. those were the only two big titan interations. i was expecting a lot more since thats all they talk about.... but it still blew me away.

Before I even think about disecting this entire post ... can we see your PSN ID. I'd rather not waste my time before I at least see proof that you've played the game.
take it easy bro, it was just an opinion. he was right anyway, the game really isn't any graphical benchmark or storytelling epitome that the reviews made it out to be. sure some parts were downright amazing, but the game as a whole was inconsistent.[QUOTE="W1NGMAN-"][QUOTE="soapandbubbles"]

I see a super low level poster bash on a highly acclaimed game, it's not the first time I've seen it happen here on SWs. Just wanted to make sure I didn't waste my time expessing my point of view with someone that potentially hadn't played the game yet.

What do you mean by you people? The game is great. The only ones disappointed in the game were the ones who over hyped it as the greatest game ever. People are bound to be disappointed if they do that to a game.
Games like GoW III, MGS4, and Uncharted 2 are what people will be remembering long after this gen is over. They are all amazing exclusives.

No Demon's Souls?
Demon's Souls is one of the best games out there but I'm not sure if it will be remembered like the other games I listed. It would be great if it did, as I love it.

Notice the bolded part. If it isn't EXCLUSIVE to ps3 it won't be amazing.

You go right a head and keep putting words in my mouth. I could care less.
I disagree, I thought God of War 3 was the game of the month for March and it should easily be on the top spot on the software sales list for at least one region like NPD for March. But I could understand if some people expected something different from the previous titles and didn't meet those expectation.
I only got to the weird Guitar Hero part. My brother beat it and says it goes WAY down hill from there and nothing comes close to the first level which is disappointing. Idk maybe hes wrong but he told me that like you just jump around on boxes in incredibly lame boring environments. Ill have to beat it to confirm but if true than that really sucks
VendettaRed07
I found it to be equally as fun throughout the game. Maybe that will change since I haven't beaten it yet, but I still found it to be more fun than GOW II. I'm not sure which game had better boss battles because it's been a while since I've played GOW II, but they're more than good enough. I liked the Titans even though they seemed to be tacked on to show off the game. This game seems to give you more reason to replay it than the older GOWs, too. There are items you can only use after you beat the game and start your next playthrough.
[QUOTE="FIipMode"]Eh, I don't pay attention to threads like these made by low level posters, usually an alt of a guy to afraid to say it on his real account. And apparently he didn't even finish the game. mtmatt

Hardtarget86 Just my opinion...don't need to get all defensive.Too soapandbubbles,
I agree with you. The game just simply left a "I screwed you" taste in my mouth. Like the tech demo feeling I got after 40 hours of FF13 with the same straight path in every environment. Like something was just not right. Posters who get so defensive of such a fair opinion truly make them selves look fanboyish in my opinion. Show some class.

What does a guys "Gamespot level" have anything to do with his opinion that, IN MY OPINION, seemed rather fair. I've seen "level 1's" give mods a run for there money. Way to look like a *post insult here* as a poster. Won't be reading any of your reviews good sir.
Yeah the animations of Gaia, Medusa's Minions, Minotaurs, weren't impressive at all. /sarcasmYou know, going by footage and images, GOW3 looked really good...an obvious improvement. But Now that i've beaten the game i'm left with a bad taste in my mouth.

i agree, for me the two first ones were trully superbe, give them both 10/10 but that one i can only give it a 8.5
I sincerely hope nobody takes God of War as a serious way of learning about Greek mythology, it is very inaccurate in terms of that. On topic though, I think it feels too much like God of War 1, and I never played 2 and I've only played the demo of 3, and I see little to no replay value, so I think I may give it a rent.
