I'm just stating the fact that if you have 70 million customers and less than 5% of those customers buy your premium product that took 4 years to make and has bus ads and everything. You'd be pretty disappointed.

Sony must have spent an absolute fucktonne on marketing for GoW. Every bus where I live has had GoW adverts running this last month. And I see posters everywhere.

Games like Halo and Gears used to rule the market, but people got over them. And it's not like the last ones were bad games, it's just MS lost their mojo. Sony is the present hotness, baby. That's why my squad and i still play it. Is this GoW the best in the series? Damn right, that's why I'm gonna keep rocking and playing it.
@cainetao11: I think some people are misinterpreting what Mr Spencer said, to me he was just trying to comment on the market in general, and personally I also noticed a difference in single player games this gen compared to last. There are just less of them overall, the big budget ones. They still exist, and I play a lot of them, but they are just less frequent overall compared to last gen.
Various reasons account for that, and I think a big part of it is due to how expensive they are to produce and difficult to predict how they will perform in the Market. I mean a game like GOW one of the highest profile Single player games in recent years, backed heavily by the market leader with a ton of Marketing muscle, and the Director cried when he saw the rave reviews. So much work and money riding on this project, but you never know how people will react to the story and the new direction.
Please do not get rid of single player games # Phil Spencer !!

No, where are all those dudes who says the kid will ruin the game? That was the most complainers on the whole kid thing and now, look how this game turn out. The kid didn't hurt the game itself.
This was the most surprising thing about the game. I also thought that the kid would hurt the game. I am happy to be wrong as he is only 1/2 as annoying as I thought he would be!
