Forza 3 is the "definitive racing game.":lol::lol:

Yeah...And PS3 was to overtake 360's total sales in 2007...and then 2008...Somehow I doubt the functionality of cows' crystal balls.

To quote Egoraptor (maker of Metal Gear Awesome 1-2) "OMG Hotness I wanna bang you!!!"[QUOTE="Rikusaki"][QUOTE="II-FBIsniper-II"]That makes absolutely no sense at all. GT is the most well known driving video game franchise in the world, why wouldn't they want to talk to him?
He designed the dash for the Nissan GTR for goodness sakes!
Travis_Odell
Simply because he's too hot. Just look at him!
They need to find a nerdy-looking guy to negotiate so they can talk about the deal instead of how hot the lead-developer is.
So i take it Rikusaki....your a girl? You wish he was. Actually I do, because if I ever meet a girl who enjoys GT as much as I do.....daaaamn![QUOTE="The__Havoc"][QUOTE="jakehouston88"]

Explain Scores please?
Then someone pulls the old bait and switch and asks you to explain sales. Then counter by asking how GT4, on a much larger fanbase, sold 30% less than its predecessor. And before anyone asks, in the PS1 generation, GT2 only took a 10% hit against GT1.I think they have RUF which is better than nothing i guess? Still would prefer porsche. You can tell that it's Kazunori's fault for Porshes not being in the game. He is basically the dictator of PD. The Nissan Skyline is his favorite car and there were nearly 50 of them in GT4.

Some more info on the car damage.
"After a few solid shunts our car was struggling to get over 140kph, so we'd clearly caused technical damage too. A Sony rep also told us that crashing too much could result in terminal damage ending our race early, which is great because that'll stop those cheating twits from bouncing off walls to get faster lap times."

Ah that's too bad. Wish car companies weren't so lame over this stuff :/ For the ones that do damage I wonder if you can go straight into a pole at 160 mph and just get totally wrecked. That would be sick.[QUOTE="Wubba"]

OK, you must be joking.
GT5 graphics CRUSH Forza 3 graphics. FACT.

Don't make me embarass you by linking the thread where you thought it was GT5 pics and touted them as being so great and better than Forza 3, but instead they were Forza3 pics.

Nice find Haze…That's good news indeeeeeeeed….
My number one complaint of the series for years has just been properly addressed…
See my main problem isn't cosmetic damage for the cars that don't support it. I just hope if I go straight into a wall at 30 mph that my race is done even without the cosmetics. If this isn't in the game it will be a HUGE flaw because the game will just be an inconsistent mess. I will buy it day 1 though as I have always been a huge GT fan, but this is making me think about picking up this and Forza 3.

In all honesty….If you are looking for that type of immersion/pressure…you will not find it in FM3 or GT5…PC sims are the way to go for that type of action..I recommend Rfactor and anyone of SIMbin's creations…Iracing is spot on but it comes with a pretty hefty price…..
Look into it and I am sure you will be happy with what youfind

If your basing your opinions on Forza2, Gran Turismo4 and GTP you are completely wrong.
Forza2 destroys Gran Turismo in gameplay, physics features and scores.
I'm not going to mention graphics because they have no real effect on the most important factor of a racing game, the gameplay.
Gran Turismo5 has a lot of catching up to do and promises to keep to reach the level of Forza2 let alone F3. This doesn't take away the fact that Gran Turismo is the most succesful racing game on the planet though. It just means it has a lot of catching up to do.
Both Forza3 and Gran Turismo5 are must have games and will probably score the same. Gran turismo5 may score higher because it is introducing a lot of new features that have never been seen in a Gran Turismo game before (But nothing new to Forza).

Especially after that ludicrous "we can release GT5 whenever we want" comment. If the game's been in RC since June, you'd figure they would be able provide us with some more information.

That news is good. Eases the pain of other news. I'm sure mechanical damage must be on all cars, no way PD would release something as unbalanced like mechanical damage on a small percentage of cars. That would completely break online.

Or,,(and I mean a big Or) Poly intends to make a play list for online racing that only consists of the "damaged" and "non-damaged" cars…

But I might be inclined to try a tuned-up 60's Ford Mustang (maybe even its pumped up relative, the Shelby Cobra). Or a "screaming chicken" Pontiac Trans Am. Or perhaps a Dodge Viper. Or even (licensing permitting) a Ferrari F40. These are all street-legal cars, yet no one can deny all of them can burn some rubber and wouldn't be bad cars to try out on a track.

And it must be free.

Sony should hire more people to work on GT5, like 50-100 people more to get the job done until release, we want at least 200-250 cars that have damage.
And they should announce in the next coming months that Polyphony will update the roster of cars post-release in a weekly/monthly basis.
