Those screenshots from gameinformer were from the ps3 version *hinting the ps3 version is the lead one*

DSOGaming writes: "Game Informer will be revealing new stuff all month and this is just the beginning, so this is not the end of GTA V's hype. Let's not forget that Rockstar will release the second trailer of GTA V this Wednesday. Game Informer has tested the PS3 version, hinting at PS3 being the lead platform for Rockstar's title, and have not reported anything about slowdowns or framerate issues. Hopefully there won't be such issues in the final version, even though it - more or less - seems like wishful thinking.

Well it's still speculation, but after GTA IV and RDR PS3 lead platform would do nicely for PS3 versions, they were noticeable worse and slower (though still playable)

Wish more devs used the ps3 as a lead platform, no point in punishing ps3 owners over sony failures, plus a 360 lead with a ps3 port is just asking for trouble.

Dan Houser: "Just at the conceptual level, the idea was three separate stories that you play in one game. The next bit was, lets not have the stories intersect once or twice but have them completely interwoven," Houser said. "It felt like it was going to be a real narrative strength: you get to play the protagonist and the antagonist in the same story."

Interesting

They never port, their engine was just not as good on PS3. Looks like they probably fixed that.

Bigger than GTA 4, RDR and San Andreas maps combined? Well this I do not believe, bigger yes but bigger than all of them combined? I am skeptical of that.

All the previews says its about 3x times bigger than RDR, 5x if you includes the explorable ocean too. Rockstar has yet to lie when they say their next game is their most ambitious one to date. They were right with RDR, expecting the same with GTA V.

[QUOTE="seanmcloughlin"]

[QUOTE="jg4xchamp"] Something GTA has not had even once in its entire existence.

SPYDER0416

This is true. A good game it may be, but it has never been perfect in game mechanics. Its shooting is still clunky. and walking around feels a bit clumsy too like in RDR, because of the animation system.

Max Payne 3 is damn near close to being the best third person shooter out there,

Max Payne 3 was pretty forgettable. And it had so many fvcking cutscenes....

I thought it was amazing, but I think Spyder primarily was refering to the mechanics. MP3 is a fantastic TPS in terms of gameplay. Taking cover, rolling, the way Max runs (especially nice is sideways, while u are still aiming), leaps over cover, how the guns feel, impact of the guns etc. It's a very well tuned TPS, miles ahead of GTA4.

GTA4 was the first time they worked with the Rage engine and Euphoria.

Yeah and they also had a lot more stuff to focus on. I mean it was a massive project. I'm just saying that Rockstar has acquired a ton of gameplay knowledge in the TPS genre since GTA4, manifested in the superb MP3. Makes me super optimistic for GTAV :D!
