Dude, it's 20 hours of extra gameplay... after a 50+ hour campaign. Once I devote 2+ days of my life to one game, I think I'll be fine giving those 20 hours away to play something else.

Dont get me wrong, whoever wants DLC, that's great and fine. But you shouldnt call anybody else stupid for not wanting it, or wanting it enough to buy the 360 version over the PS3.

I think the bottom line CJ is that if you own both consoles, the DLC has to be a factor.

If you are the type of person that gets bored easily and wants something new after playing GTA. sure the DLC wont matter. But if you are the kinda person who enjoys good gameplay and stories and would like the game extended.. Then the DLC plays a factor.

The nice thing about the 360 version is you have a choice. The PS3 you do not.

It's getting DLC too, but it will be getting the same DLC the 360 gets, after the exclusive DLC stuff is out of the way on the 360. Basically, the PS3 wont get any DLC the 360 isnt getting.

DLC who cares? I am usually bored of GTA games long before the end it's just a game to play for a bit and than go around blowing stuff up. I believe the DLC cannot be that important to the full retail game since its just added fluff. The main game and story will be in the retail version after that who cares about more missions as an afterthought?Khansoul

Having that attitude is like saying the Shivering Isles was not worth it since it was not part of the main story..

Sorry but that fails on all fronts, if it adds any missions relavant to an entire new part of the game story. Then it is well worth it. 10 + hours for each one giving a total of 20 + hours is significant enough for me to easily buy it.

I just told my friends about the length of the DLC and they were like..wtf? Always assumed my friends knew more than that. They have GOT to actually advertise this stuff for people who are interested.

That has been out for a long time now.. You knew this was true right? I mean how can it not be the definitive version if you are getting more content then the other console.

lol So true. I mean, I dont really care what anybody thinks as long as I'm enjoying my games. But seriously, that one guy said anyone who has a PS3 and 360 that gets the PS3 version is ignorant. My gosh. What happened to liberty and opinion? I guess all that went out the windows years ago. Besides, like I said, without trying to start a super fanboy war, I have plenty of reasons why I dont want to get it on the 360. No DLC is going to change that.

Besides, all the GTA games have given me unlimited replayibility. And ya know what the funny thing is? That replayibilty is using just free roaming the city, not even doing missions!!! I will enjoy the campaign, and I will enjoy free roam. 20 hours of episodic content will feel pretty irrelevant to me. Especially with all the games coming out this year.

Again, I'm not downplaying this for 360 owners, it's great that you want it. That's fine and dandy with me. What is funny though is that so many 360 fanboys are actually being really smug and hostile about this everytime someone says, "I'm getting it on my PS3". It's like it really bothers them that the DLC might not be something everyone is interested in. It's kinda weird. I could care less what you do with the DLC. Why insist on trying to convince me about it when I've made up my mind a long time ago?

I find it kinda funny when these fanboys mostly cows complains about paying for GTA IV DLC and at the same time have no problems with buying new controllers with last gen rumble. :lol: I rather buy GTA IV DLC then new controllers which should've had rumble from the get go.

You explained your position to me. I have no problem with it. It is your perogative since you own both to get it on what you want. Hell you may find out later that damn I want that DLC and you have the option to still buy it. Regardless I know what you mean. I am not pushing anyone to buy the content.

For me I will be playing GTA4, then Ninja Gaiden 2, Then hopefully Fable 2, then GTA 4 DLC , then Gears of War 2 and then hopefully more GTA 4 DLC.. Nice year ahead for gaming for sure no matter which console you own.

I figured as much. You know how this place gets.. I used to get all worked up over it.. Now I just have fun with it. Some people just don't realize what gaming is all about. It isn't who sells the most consoles..

IT IS THE GAMES!!!!! If the 360 didn't have Halo on it I probably would not have bought it this gen and it turns out, it got Gears of War out of no where and Mass Effect and Bioshock.. All of which I like.

Man people lose track of what is important.. IT'S THE DAMN GAMES.. I am envious of you getting MGS4.. I think of all the games sony has that is one that could eventually force my hand to buy a PS3. At some point I will have one, just a matter of how soon. I need a few more games to come out for it that I wanna play.

You pay $50 a year for demos??? Man, that's worse than I thought!!!

You pay $50 a year to play online man. Well that $50 "chump" (maybe you meant chunk?) of change isnt comparable to buying a controller. You only pay $55 once for a controller (that comes with a rechargeable battery that would in comparison knock the 360 controller to $80 to match what the DS3 offers), but you pay $50 a year.

Besides, why are you even referencing the $55 dollar DS3 if it's only a "chump" of change anyway?

If it turns into a full blown expansion I would not have a problem paying a little more but I doubt it is a full blown expansion. I think they will add some more missions and then a separate branch in the story, maybe some other goodies but I doubt this will be on par with say Vice Cirty or something like that.

I believe the Mass Effect DLC added what, like 3 hours of content and it was close to 8-10 dollars? 10 hours of content? Look for it to be 15 dollars minimum, probably around 20 since they can just milk the fans since any hardcore GTA player will buy it.
