I don't know about that with Reach, because Reach was just as monotonous on that difficulty. The gunplay just isn't that satisfying personally, and the Elites are a little too spongy(I mean some of them eat rockets, and are good to go). Plus the scenarios being just as straight forward, and well the ducking and peaking gets kind of lame. I don't know they need to find a more interesting balance. Make me feel badass, but force me to think my tactics through. Because too many segments in Reach just make me feel fragile in the wrong way. Not in the way the epilogue does(which is another discussion, but not in the mood). jg4xchamp

I wouldn't nessecarily do the whole "duckign and peeking" thing that you could get in any game.

I'd be forced to try things that I wouldn't have tried otherwise like crazy maneuvers in a warthog or hit and run attacks. And having Armour Abilites in Reach took that even further.

When you're up against a Wraith(or three simultaneously, in one case) the type of ability you have equipped could make or break you.

That's why I love the Halo games. There isn't that stop, pop and shoot mentality that is so common nowadays. The gameplay is interesting and you could potentially play the same level a hundred different ways.

I just hope 343 keep that wholly intact.

All I see is crappy geometry with low res textures and some decent lighting.

where the hell are lemmings coming from when they are praising this games visuals so high?

I guess if you get beat with a belt and starved long enough any scrap of food thrown your way starts to look like a gourmet meal. :lol:

Wading through thousands and thousands of fallen enemies becomes very monotonous after a while.

That's why you got to crank it up to at least Heroic. Every small victory feels rewarding and you actually have to work for it.

On normal or below, you can just tear through anything and anyone. Sure, you feel powerful but you probably won't mix up your playstyle all that much. You'll just run headlong into enemies, firing whatever gun you have and then pistol-whipping them when you get near. Rinse and repeat a couple of hundred times.

Run into a Huinter on Heroic or above and you feel fear. And you'll actually try new methods of taking them down, rather than the tried and true methods you used when playing on Normal.

As they say in the decription: "Heroic: How Halo is meant to be played."

You are meant to be fragile in Reach. you are not the top of the Range Spartan like Master Chief- you are a cheaper less powerful version part of a team of Spartans that are used in greater numbers. It's all part of the story.

This. It's the only game you could call something. Everything other FPS on the market in today's generation appear to be a clone of each other. It's why i still buy Halo, because even if its quality declines, it is still something different and I hold that to a very high regard.
