Here is the old BR, just for a frame of reference. I think Halo 4 looks a lot better, it's a hefty jump.
Ninja-Hippo
I love everything about the new BR except for one minor detail. The bullet indicator (or whatever it's called). I like the numbers blue with the black back ground.
Oh you mean the target? RoslindaleOne
hitbox, reticle, crosshairs -- whatever its called.
Apparently the thing goes away wheny ou sprint or perform some sort of action, at least thats how it appeared to me -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-u9ZDFs180

Crosshairs are a cross-shaped aiming icon. A reticule is a circular shaped aiming icon. Generally the two are interchangeable unless you're being petty. A hit box is something totally different though. Hitboxes are the invisible areas which cover a character model which, if a shot lands within them, counts as a hit. Most casual games have quite large hitboxes; your shot could whizz an inch away from their head, but it'll land as a hit. More serious games like counter strike have tiny hit boxes which force you to be very precise with your headshots. /useless information[QUOTE="RoslindaleOne"]Oh you mean the target? R3FURBISHED

Yeah, they are probably still toying with the crosshairs now. So, yeah. :)Why are the Covenants back?
I thought this was a totally New Halo Trilogy? With totally New Enemies?
VERTIGO47
They'll be a smaller enemy. Just to offer a distraction from the new enemies.

[QUOTE="LinKuei_warrior"] I'm 60% lemming, so let me be the first to say this is all smoke an mirrors(as usual with bungie) and it will play like every other Halo and will be praised for adding nothing new. :/ EDIT: I really need to rid myself of the mark of shame in my profile pic considering my hatred for 2 is pretty hefty lol.LinKuei_warrior
is that why there is an uproar on the 343 forums from users stating they are changing too much? haha haters are funny
what could they possibly change that'll upset so many people? Besides the fact that they want Masterchief to be Master Grief? If Halo 4 has any significant change worth noting, I will eat a cheeseburger and film it for gamespot(cookie for anyone that gets that)
its clear you know nothing about halo and have probably never played the game. for one bloom is gone, weapon loadouts with aa for the first time (not predefined like reach), unlocks is abilities for the first time in halo, firefight gone. i could go on but i think ive made my point

Yeah, I don't think 343 are just going to reveal the new threat in its first magazine feature. We never knew about the flood until actually playing the game (well i didn't anyway)

Did you seriously just try to make Halo 4 look better by comparing it's graphics with two old ass games?

Think he was just showing the evolution of the graphics from the first game up until present day. Untwist your panties.Halo 4 OST Sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=On9dhT6NYjg&feature=player_embedded
Gotta say I like it more than the Reach/3 songs, those games barely had any memorable songs.
tagyhag
That's actually... not bad! Atleast they're getting the music right this time.

Relax, He was just giving a rundown of how the graphics in the Halo series improved over the years.
This part of the soundtrack is... um... interesting.

He posted it in the post right above that one... It's only missing in that post because it compares the cortana and master chief models, neither of which are in Halo Reach.Such a shame this is not coming to PC :(. If it was I would probably day one buy it and hell it may motivate me to buy a 360 (again) and play all the other Halo games. See what you are missing out on MS! :P

Its not, Reach was included in the DMR comparison.
Considering theres no BR, Master Chief or Cortana in Reach it makes it a bit difficult to compare.
[QUOTE="Reiko2K1"]Killzone 2 looks DATED next to Halo 4gpukingHaha, way to quote a pre pre alpha kz2 pic to support your argument. KZ2 has a lot more effects, particles, and detail on screen, there's nothing dated about it. Halo4 like all Halo games looks lifeless and boring in comparison.
Killzone 2 definitely looks better, atleast in that particular screen. Too bad the Killzone games are complete garbage.

I don't see it.
That's the BR comparison. Not the DMR comarison.
Cherokee, how the heck did you go back to go to all the effort of copying that and NOT see the reach comparison right next to it?Ninja-Hippolol, I didn't know it was divided into two posts. nvm

Kind of sounds like Terminator music.
Personally i find Killzone to be so grainy and filtered that every screenshot looks like a magazine scan. Ninja-Hippo
I like the grainy look. It's that sluggish and awkward gameplay that makes me hate them.

Killzone 3 i thought was a lot more slick. I preferred the way it handled to Killzone 2 which had the whole simulated weight thing going for it which just felt like lag.[QUOTE="Master_ShakeXXX"][QUOTE="Ninja-Hippo"]Personally i find Killzone to be so grainy and filtered that every screenshot looks like a magazine scan. And just something about the actual gunplay felt strange to me. The guns sounded nice and all but the aiming and hit detection was weird, and there's always this odd pause between me killing somebody and them dieing, if that makes any sense.
