No, just basically any size HD TV would be fine.So does the game ship with 4 binoculars?

[QUOTE="Jankarcop"]no one cares dudeYou all seem confused.
That wasn't the reasons the game is bad, those are the reasons why FPS on PC are superior.
Dumbed down AI, big hit boxes, auto-aim, magnetic aim, low fps, low gfx, extremely slow paced gameplay due to slow aiming mechanics, and worst of all..aninsanely low skill cap.
Neither of these are my opinion, those are all facts.
mems_1224
Then why are so many people responding with long drawn out excuses as to why the facts I listed aren't rather major downsides ?
But yeah, get dem' binoculars for you 4 player coop
Lol, you know that was patched right? Unlike Sony, Microsoft doesn't take away features with updates. Also, when I bought a 360 it came with a Hard drive.Halo coop didn't work on 4GB console. Enjoy buying an overpriced Hard Drive for Halo 4.

We used to play 4 split MP when TVs where much more smaller, i'm sure that now that most gamers have at least a 32" TV, this won't be an issue at all.

Playing 2 player split-screen on Reach right now. It's a bit of a nuisance. Wouldn't dare 4 player.Split screen doesn't make a game better. It only causes the game to have framerate drops, make everyone use a small ass portion of the screen and look sh*tty on top of it.
A LAN with either 4 consoles or PCs is a much better experience.

What kind of TV do you play on?
I play with a proper PC monitor, thank you very much. But that's not the point, the point is that 4-player split-screen will be too messy and the resolution will be too low for a good gaming experience, IMO of course.

I remember playing 2 split MP and hating it, let alone 4. Everything is just too small.

I hate playing games with the screen split for 1 other person let alone 3... if I'm playing an FPS game I generally want the whole screen to myself, not some shrunken down little thing that I have to squint at with the aspect ratio all f***ed up and the sound all crazy with so much stuff happening with 2-4 players playing and shooting guns at once. I enjoyed getting high with my buddy and playing Resistance 2's Split Screen Online co-op back in the day as a teenager, but those types of years are over. And besides, that co-op wasn't a campaign co-op, it was little spin-off class-based co-op missions that were unique and really fun to play with others and required a lot of teamwork. Regular campaign modes seem boring to play with another person, because they don't really require that teamwork since they're designed to be able to be beat by 1 person.
Maybe this would be cool if I were still 9 or something, but as a grown adult who doesn't exactly invite 3 other grown men over on friday nights to sit at home in front of the TV and play video games, 4 player split screen is almost useless.

4-player split screen on N64 was terrible.

Yeah it was. Goldeneye had such bad framerate drop unless you had the ram expansion card.yes i really want to play on 4 really small boxes......

Do you realise who stupid this discussion is? No one is forced to play splitscreen, man.
For those who usually have friends and family who play with, its a good feature.

Needs the option to output each player on a different TV, that would make local multiplayer so much better
[QUOTE="sts106mat"]people moaning about the inclusion of a completely optional feature = SADPAL360
Sad indeed. But we both know the reason, right? :P
People are idiots.
Literally every argument against this feature is pure bull. It's not even a matter of preference, unless someone prefers paying the same amount of money for products with less features. There is no argument to be made on how the game is worse by inclusion of optional 4 player co-op.
people moaning about the inclusion of a completely optional feature = SADsts106matWho's complaining about them including it? Most people(well, at least I was) are talking about split screen gaming in general and why they care/don't care about the feature, not Halo.
Edit: Maybe I gave people on here too much credit... tbh it wouldn't surprise me if people really did complain about the option for Split Screen gameplay being included, so nevermind.

They were all valid reasons as to why most PC fps are better than Halo4, to contrast the OP's reason as to why something as worthless as 4 player split-screen binocular coop makes "halo4 better than 73% of FPSs"

You also mentioned fps, which funnels down to proccessing power. Technical stuff.
SecretPolice
so you prefer acontrol scheme that is not accurate, not very responsive, not agile, awkwarder to move around/aim ?
fps have to do with gameplay, from 30 to 60fps their are huge deferences on how the game fells, how smooth, how responsive it is, etc and all these have a direct impact on gamepaly.
Okay, I think I'm done here. :P
You mean Halo's have better multiplayer than Rage(that have non-existent multiplayer ) or you are referring to sp? and I assume you mean Rage console version?

I prefer the feel of old-style shooters. Hell, my 2 favorites are Goldeneye and Duke Nukem 3D. I don't mind the less accurate control scheme as the games I play don't require perfect control. Besides, a PC shooter requires you to be sitting at a desk or something similar. You wouldn't believe how bad my neck feels after an hour of Counterstrike.
I guess what I'm saying is I play games I like, and the ones I like are on console. They are often just more fun to play.
If you are saying that fps games are more fun with "controller, 30fps, small fov" compare to "k/m, 60fps, large fov" than you are crazy. I have nothing else to say to you.

word. im not a snobby gamer. none of that bothers me and i honestly cant even tell the difference between 30fps and 60fps. fun is funWhy is everyone so stuffy about splitscreen.
I play it alot, and everyone is having too much fun to b*** like little girls.
And if you have LAN or whatever, you're still playing on two different consoles.
Leave it to a PC blow hard to tout the PC's ability to have options and experimentation but scoff at an option that is not only important but relatively missing from this gen...That matters to me becuase I always have 3 other people in my apartment playing video games with me...
Wait...

The things I mention have 100% direct relationship with gameplay an 0% relationship with technical limitations. (you may say that one of those things "fps" have to do with technical limitations, but in reality have zero relationship with technical limitations, any system can have 60fps, but the overwhelming majority of developers on consoles choose inferior gameplay "30fps" in order to get better graphics)
