Halo reach is the best fps shooter.

It is currently my favorite shooter, no doubt about it. I am still looking forward to Black Ops, Killzone 3, Homefront, Crysis 2 and Brink, but I don't think they will top Reach for me.

It's a good game no doubt but I still prefer Counter-Strike: Source over it.

Ever since I got halo reach. I have never been able to put it down. I'd say its the only fps shooter I will ever need for the rest of this generation. It has so much replay value. I dont think I will need to come back to system wars ever again because halo reach won the war for me.

i agree. i find myself going to my friends house just so i can play reach. it will probably make me get another 360 even though i promised myself i would never get another one.the campaign has been great but kind of predictible (damn those skybox's are awesome) and i wanna play it in a mode other then co-op. but multiplayer is about the most perfect ive played and the best since quake 3 arena and the original halo. the only game that really comes close this gen is TF2 and killzone 2.

cant believe people are throwing counter-strike (buy a gun, meet opposite team in the same place over and over again, shoot, repeat) and left 4 dead (just a game mode in every other shooter but valve calls it a full game) into this post. reach kils them and makes you realize what little game is there.

I would say it is. The multiplayer is amazing. Along with the new campaign which is EPIC and throw in firefight you have a game you can play for YEARS. Anyone that is a fan of shooters and not playing this game is seriously missing out.

Halo looks good no problem but best FPS? not really maybe to you, i personally think nothing beats Call of Duty, yes i played diffrent FPS's but always more on Call of Duty

I find it very hilarious that you console fps's are luckluster compared to pc. Also the fact you find a 10 year old multiplayer only game with 2 gamemodes better then is very ammusing to me. Counter strike is so repetitive it just gets unbarable. TYPICAL CS GAME:

Presses 8 then 2 for kevlar and helmet in the buy menu, hmmm, I feel like using a m4a1, press 4 3. Pulls out knife to run faster to one of two bomb sites. I think I will try my luck and go to THIS particular bomb site. If you see them come around the corner shoot and attempt head shot, you take a couple down, bla bla bla. Next round.

RINCE AND REPEAT. CS = YAWN.

And what about the other fps shooters on pc? Lol what fps games? UT 2004 which has no-one online? And crysis, which totally blows? Seriously your fanboyism is just through the roof. PC is good for better multiplats (most of the time) but you are just going over the top with this one.

I am a long time pc gamer ever since the first CS, which I own and demolish whole teams. And I can argue that Reach takes MORE skill. Your 'shields' argument is actualy going to work against you here. The shields mean you have to shoot your opponent several times with accurate head shots to get the kill. Also in CSS you can still spam the trigger and get lucky kills most of the time. The shields also mean you can't get cheap shotted from behind. You have not played Reach or Halo 3 much and do not understand how the game works, so don't try and argue with someone that knows more abou the game then you. You will just get owned.

Alot of people are still playing halo 1 and still halo 2. Even after reach, halo 3 still has around 700,000 players each day. Most people probably WON'T be playing it in 10 years, because the next gen will come. Even so there will still be thousands of people online, but this is not for us to judge.
