I bet you have no idea what the KZ2 engine can do......do ya? I bet you don't have any idea what the new bungie engine can do (don't know the name of the engine) So please stop talking like you know what you're talking about and actually post some proof, because I can promise you that you have no idea what either engine can do.

And you on the other hand have worked for both Guerilla games and Bungie and therefore know the full technical limitations of both games, right?

i do remeber lemming bashing MAG coz of its 128v128 and bashing MAG gfx for that , i can't remeber how many times they said Quantity=/= Quality, now the same excuse is used to prove superiority over KZ2 and to justify the avarge gfx.

I don't get this attempt to hype Halo's graphics all of a sudden, if anything people should be trying to focus attention away from the graphics.

Well, gameplay wise it will most likelly deliver. Ppl just were surprised with the graphics because no one was expecting it to look that good.

Halo 3 already had larger enviorments than Killzone 2. It is a fact that Reach is going in the same direction with larger enviorments. You admit that Reach will have more enemies on screen. So why are even trying to directly compare them and put one over the other?

Because halo Reach was supposed to be the great 360 hope and just got knocked the heck out. That was from many a lemming perspectives.Same thing will happen once the actual game comes out. heck kz2 isn't even the best looking game on the ps3, just imagine if UC2 was compared.

Try to put 40 enemies and 20 vehicles in KZ2´s engine and it will probably run at 1 frame p second. The funny thing is that even with all of that going on at the same time, reach still looks almost as good as KZ2 ;)

Not to mention there is always recording going on in the background, many of the enviroments are bigger compared to what you mostly see in KZ2 and it can handle the stress of split-screen.

If you really think killzone 2 looks better, you didn't have to be so fanboyish about it.

And this comparison couldn't really get much worse. None of the pics are of even remotely the same thing. Hell, one of those reach screens isn't even a screen, it's a concept art.The only thing I see so far is that the enemy models in Reach are probably a bit more detailed than the enemies in Killzone 2. I'll wait to see some of the bigger fights in Reach to make any real judgements.

NOOO THE PRETTY POLYGONS!

Frankly, if they released Reach with the same graphics power as Halo 3, while I'd be surprised, it wouldn't change my fun with the game that much. Halo is not, nor has it ever been, a game about gen defining graphics. Its been about gameplay. Halo 3's online MP is still probably the best out there, and its far more important for reach to deliver in that area. So until we get beta/demo/release/ACTUAL INFORATION, other then just some scans, I really don't care. If I wanted to have beautiful graphics, I'd play my FPS on a PC, no?

Not to mention there is always recording going on in the background, many of the enviroments are bigger compared to what you mostly see in KZ2 and it can handle the stress of split-screen.

reagrding the huge environment, the mountains and the sky dun count, coz apprantly you think they are counted for the MASSIVE environments, lol. if one game should have some kudos for massive environments , that would be MAG, but sadly lemmings will never do that.

No Halo has some pretty huge environments, I think I'm pretty sure of that.

Now im all for Cows and Lems arguing. Its fun. But this is ULTRACOW. Dude the game is FAR more technically advanced than Killzone 2, and the fact that graphics are comparable in Alpha stages is just funeeeeee. Did you watch the new video? This game looks amazing in motion, those screens dont do it justice.

O and for kicks, find me a Killzone 2 screen that doesn't use all neutral colors :)

I compared the enviroments in Halo to KZ2, not MAG. Never did I use the word MASSIVE either.

In a way both game has advatanges over one another. KZ2 because of it's tight space and linear levels makes up for its graphics. Halo Reach however is going for wider levels, more enemies on screen at once, but might have lower textures etc. At the end of the day I don't understand the reason for comparing, if it looks good enough to play then leave it as that.

no one ever said the mountains and sky counted, because they don't need to. Halo 3 has more space that the player can move through than Killzone 2 does for its player.

but what I honestly hate bout da lemmings is that to most halo is just ammo, granted cows are pretty annoying spitting at halo. I think halo should never be talked about except by the peopel that genuinly like the game. lol :) Lemmings keep reach for later use Alan Wake it looks almost as good as reach and you got vids of it. but remeber to actually like the game ur arguing for not using it to claim ownage, lol I just want people to notice AW it looks stellar

They have already won the fight Halo 3 gameplay > KZ2 gameplay. You go play your graphics.

Yep, it's a joke, and a sad one too, but damn Halo Reach looks great in motion and it's not even done yet!

It does fantastic -- and from what we've seen, this game is going to look pretty damn good in the final stages if it looks this good in pre-alpha.

while i dun see any major steps forwards, but i agree, the game shall look better. anyway lemmings can't win this fight, all they have is a couple of crappy pics and some shiny big Bungie announcments, while cows have a full game , my advice for lemmings will be " fight another day".

but what I honestly hate bout da lemmings is that to most halo is just ammo, granted cows are pretty annoying spitting at halo. I think halo should never be talked about except by the peopel that genuinly like the game. lol :) Lemmings keep reach for later use Alan Wake it looks almost as good as reach and you got vids of it. but remeber to actually like the game ur arguing for not using it to claim ownage, lol I just want people to notice AW it looks stellar

Visually alan wake>Reach, however technically Reach>>>>Alan wake.

As of now, and from what I've seen of Reach, KZ2 does look better. But passing a final judgement on it before release isn't fair. The game still looks amazing technically and artistically :). I like that it's darker and grittier--like KZ2 :P.


And LMAO at them using a concept art to compare.

Yep, it's a joke, and a sad one too, but damn Halo Reach looks great in motion and it's not even done yet!

It does fantastic -- and from what we've seen, this game is going to look pretty damn good in the final stages if it looks this good in pre-alpha.

The vidoc is alpha.

yes reach doesnt look anything special but graphics aside, reach will single handedly destroy majority of ps3 library including killzone 2

As someone who has played KZ2 thoroughly, I can attest to the fact that KZ2's textures are godly. Some of the best on a console.
