[QUOTE="General_X"][QUOTE="angelkimne"]Even if you don't include the disc with the Halo 3 mp, which is stupid, there's still the campaign, Halo: Reach mp beta, co-op and firefight on the other disc.SpruceCabooseAnd The Orange Box sells for $30 dollars and comes with 3 games and 2 expansions. Hell Team Fortress 2 at $15-$20 comes with more replay value than ODST with FREE map and content updates. Crysis Warhead also came out at $30 (though I bought if for $15 new at Gamestop) and came as a standalone expansion and improved multiplayer/maps in the included disk Crysis Wars. Then don't buy it. Or are you expecting us Halo fans to run to internet petitions like you Valve fans did (I am assuming you are a Valve fan since you keep bringing up the Orange Box). Oh I won't buy it that's for sure, just like I didn't buy the original Left 4 Dead because I didn't feel the content was worth the $50 asking price. I also won't buy Left 4 Dead 2 until it is $25 or less or bundeled with L4D 1. Also if this game is a hit expect more expansions for full price because MS will know it can take advantage of its fan base.

Halo 3 ODST will probably cost around the same two years after it's released as well. Orange Box came out in 2007, why the **** would it be full price right now? Team Fortress 2 shipped with how many maps? Yeah, six maps. That's some icredible value ... I mean, a whole six maps? Wow!
Too bad Cryis Wars is horrible in comparison to Halo 3's multiplayer.
Microsoft shouldnt have ever labeled this an expansion if they plan on releasing it at full price. Besides, I'm sure the campaign is enough to warrant a 60 dollar purchase considering how many other games have 8 hour campaigns with no multiplayer and retail for 60.carljohnson3456Content isn't really why expansions are priced the way they are. I know plenty of expansions that have twice the content of your average console game, but they are still reduced price. It is just a consumer expectation that they should be cheaper.

The Orange Box was $40 when it was first released and has sold for as little as $15 recently from Steam's weekend deals. Also, unlike Halo 3, Team Fortress 2 comes with free map releases and multitudes of made from scratch user made maps. And I believe you have Crysis Wars confused with the orignal Crysis' multiplayer because Crysis Wars is really quite superb. The Orange Box was $40 when it was first releasedGeneral_XUm, no it wasn't. Where the heck did you pull that from? :|

Not sure about you but I bought the Orange Box for 60.I don't think it bothers anyone, ps3 owners purchased grand turismon prologue (a quarter ofthe completedgame) for 40 bucks. All game developers can sell half of a game and people won't care to pay the price.
Not sure about you but I bought the Orange Box for 60.carljohnson3456I bough it for PC for $50. (Superior version, *ahem*) :P

The price was lower before because of that. Only 3-5 hours long was the estimate. Playing different from Halo 3 does not make it good. Playing differently doesn't automatically make anything good. Just look at Devil May Cry 2 for example. It played differently, and was awful. The new modes aren't going to justify 60 bucks either. It will be fun for a little while, but it won't keep you entertained long enough to make it worth it.

I'm incredibly disappointing by Microsoft's actions. Needless to say, I agree with you when you say it should be cheaper. Just make sure your arguments are a bit more sound, and not spout out faulty claims. :P

That is generally what expansions do.They expanded the scope of the game. What did people expect? Seriously. Come on guys.

No, but Team Fortress 2 was dead on arrival on the PS3.I can definitely see how that can a huge negative to people who like TF2, but I never really got into it (my favorite game on the collection was Portal), so it wasn't a huge deal to me. I was more irritated with the numerous frame-rate issues.
