How can anybody not like PC gaming?

then you should stick to console gameing because apparently there is no games coming out that you'll like. They are hardware crushing.. they need SHADER POWER like I said and you don't have that. just because crysis cane out and has a big GPU requrement dosent mean it will be the biggest requrement... JEEZ most of those games will RECCOMEND a 9800GTX. if you live your ife playing crysis and that is your only game then I feel sorry for the person who COULD HAVE owned and upgraded your pc, seems like such a waste.TrooperManaic

Consoles can do things like that too. I have an arcade stick for my PS2.

Who cares.. I dont have the space for CRT monitors and I use my HDTV for watching TV not playing games on it

Dont you see that GS doesent even say where exactly the frame rate dips in the single player, that is very strange that they dont give you a specific part, especialy since I have never seen that fram rate drop that they speak of. As I said theres no way to prove that they are 100% right, to me they are 100% wrong obviously, but there is just no way that you can say that they are 100% right. Obviouly theres a reasonable chance that they may have done something wrong. I never se this frame rate drop as well as my friends.

Do you expect them to revist the game and point out each specific event where the frame rate was choppy?

PDZ, DiRT, Full Auto, Quake 4, Bully, Two Worlds, Mass Effect ect. All had frame rates that dipped and dived, and going by your logic at the start of the thread the 360 must be a terrible gaming machine because of it.

I dont crare for PC gameing seeing IMO theres only one worthwhile titles thats exclusively on it (starcraft 2)

a lot of people will pay a ton of money to get a 42" HDTV, "cause i dont just play games on it", but say that pc gaming is expensive.

see i was under the impression that the PC can be used to watch tv. and that some chairs are more comfortable than couches. and that you do not need to be a rocket science to be able to hook up your pc to your tv.

also, some of you say that $150 gpu is unable to run crysis on max with 32 AA. but why would you buy one? since youre happy with the inferior graphics of consoles, what's wrong with playing on the same graphics on pc...

i do agree, however, that some genres are based primarily on consoles but thats about it. that is just a genre preference. i see no other reason to dislike pc gaming.

PC has sport games like PES2008 and its nect gen version...plus PC dominates Racing Sims and Sports Managment...

He sais potato and you say orange....PC games install ONCE and then you save huge amount of time by not swapping disks...games play on the HDD...and load much faster than the consoles...

PC can get Wiimote Dualshock3 Xbox360 controller practically any gaming inpute device known to man....

I didn't read through this thread, so I'll just give you my opinion and reasons why I switched from PC gaming to consoles, and it can be summed up in one word, EASE.

Now to be honest, it's been a loooong time since I gamed heavily on a computer. I used to have tons of C64 games but only ever got a few dozen games on my PC, mostly around the time Myst was really big. Consoles are just more convienant to use, you pop in a cart or disc and start playing (although thats starting to change) You don't have to compare specs before you buy a game, or upgrade to make sure you can play the latest games. I also resented having to buy a controller for the computer if I wanted to play some of the games I liked.

I can see where PC gaming can give those that enjoy it a very different and enjoyable experience from us console gamers, but a lot of the reasons are just lost on me. I wouldn't use mods, I dislike dlc, and I don't really enjoy the types of games that the PC excells at.

I think the PC is the ultimate machine for getting the best gaming experience. Anything a console can do, chances are it can be done on the PC, better. (The wii being the exception to the rule I guess)

HOWEVER - i want an easy life - I mean hell, thats why I play games in the first place. If I was into crap like configuring PC's, I do it for a living and get paid for it. I want the most complicated game setup procedure to be nothing more than getting a game out of that annoying plastic packaging and sticking it in the disk drive.

It even annoys me that I have to install the MS updates every once and a while.

So - yes, PC gaming is the best, if you can be bothered.

Except it's not enough not to dislike PC gaming - the first post in this very thread says that console-only gamers are "kidding themselves", and it only goes downhill in other threads around here, as console gamers are derided as being poor, being too stupid to build a PC or play PC games, being a newb to PC gaming, etc.. Even when you point out that you have some experience, or that you own a PC, you'll be called a liar.

Having a reasonable, well-backed-up preference doesn't seem to be enough for the zealots around here.
