Im perfectly fine with it. I found it worth it, unlike PS Plus which I have yet to buy because all they are offering me is theyre B Team Cataloge of games for free and discounting games I either dont want or already have.

[QUOTE="VladJasonDrac"][QUOTE="ItsBriskBaby"] Do you know how stupid you sound? PS3 has many games that are not sub 720p and they have plenty of AA titles and I certainly did not dish out $600, I paid $300, but I only bought one system unlike lemmings who bought more then one.WilliamRLBaker
By AA he meant anti-aliasing which has to do with graphics.
Yep I bought more than one system. I bought a 360 and a PS3. I've never had to pay to have a 360 fixed due to its superior warranty(albeit forced on MS due to lawsuits) and the day MS tells me I am out of warranty and asks me for $99 to have one fixed is probably the day I don't have a 360 anymore.
People going out and buying a new 360 becasue they cant live without a game console for 2 weeks when they can get their broken one fixed for free is their fault. Not MSs or anyone elses.
Microsofts warranty was forced on them by law suits? um no...There hasn't been a single successful lawsuit against microsoft over the 360, there hasn't been a single lawsuit that made it past a preliminary.360 warranty was 1 year. Then we had major RROD issues. MS was being sued for RROD. MS made the 3 year warranty for RROD. Lawsuits dropped. If MS wasnt being sued for RROD they wouldnt have offered a 3 year warranty for the issue. So yes, it was forced.

To be fair, that could jsut be them being "My Bad" and trying to fix it on their own accord. Its kinda not likely, but it could be true.

How do people feel about paying thousands of dollars every few years for cable TV?
R3FURBISHED
i dunno. but that doesn't relate to system wars or this thread.
i would game on xbl if it was cheaper. its $100 bucks over here in Australia and that's a complete rip.
i'll stick to my pc, ps3 and wii.
A lot of people don't use cable/satellite television either, especially in the U.S. since you can get free hd programming over the air now while satellite and cable providers want to you pay extra for the privilege.

Could be yes but not bloody likely lol
I've spent a lot less than that actually ;)
I primarily play on the PC, and even though Steam is better on paper, I prefer XBL.

MUCH? You got MUCH from Cross game chat and party chat? I swear, you'd think Lemmings never heard of a telephone. Why would I want to talk to my friend while I'm playing a ranked match of Tekken 6 while he's playing Assassins Creed:| Its a nice feature to have, but its not that practical unless you turn your system on to talk to people you never met instead of gaming. Also, PSN+ is optional because it only offers discounts, you don't have to pay for it. XBL on the other hand is REQUIRED to play online, nice try though.
They are exactly the same, bud. Paying for a service, how does that make you feel? Live is a service you are paying for just like cable/satellite television.[QUOTE="R3FURBISHED"]

IMO, this is an awful analogy. Free TV only has like 20 channels and only about 7 of them are any good. Paying for cable/sattelite is more than worth the dough. It offers a lot over free tv.XBL on the other hand offers nothing more than cross game chat and party chat over PSN, and PSN even has party text if you just have to contact someone while you're playing different games. Its not worth 60 bucks over PSN.
Btw is it true your Blackbond from youtube?Gamtrix
I'll let the people decide what to think about me instead of spoiling the surprise.
That's a pretty good answer, I think.
Anyone who has a job will have no problem at all paying for XBL. It's a fantastic service. THE END!racing1750I'm 16 and take very advanced classes at school so I don't have a job... not everyone has a job.
The only thing that really annoys me is that MS do not have a loyalty scheme so that people that have been an XBL Gold subscriber for like over 2/3 years get it for a reduced price. If you have been a subscriber from 2005 then you should only have to pay 50% max.
I'm generally peved by companies that fail to reward long term customers but have all these deals in place to get new customers on board. I learned that with MS so cancelled my subscribetion for a few weeks. I was the given a reduced priced special offer to subscribe again. So did a 3 month subscribtion. I didn't renew that and was once again offered a lower priced deal to subscribe again.

I use that package (minus TV) and pay £30. :P Student discount ftw.
i don't have to pay for pay-per view channels or events, that's why i have to pay so muchI feel like I have been robbed/sarcasm. It feels awesome being apart of the xbox live gold community and all the benifits it brings. Its basicly paying to have the best online exerience ever.

I'd say party chat is a lot more important than people realize. I've spent the last month or so without it, and it really is a hassle calling friends or trying to use in game chat and other mechanisms to compensate. Party watch is also pretty nice. Do they totally justify the price? Probably not. But the combination of those two and having XBLA games that are more to my taste than most PSN fare makes it worth it for me.I love how GS/mods even removed the old sticky so Microsoft wouldn't get any more bad publicity/image deterioration. Clearly this is more than a reviewing site, with marketing features added for companies ready to shell out. Also, it might just simply be american protectionism, just like they did with toyota LOL.

Im coming from this as a PC gamer, laughing a people trying to bash each others sytems and jsut pointing out the faults. TC is bashingon Live when he has paid for a system that cant run games past 720p. He is trying to bas on people "OMG 250 DOLLARS AHAHAHAAAA" assuming that everyone that has a 360 has had live for 5 years. real smart huh?
Ah well yeah, I got your point now :D But it still doesen't change the fact that Xbox Live Gold is a ripoff... The 600$ price tag of the launch PS3 was just a fluke on the part of Sony. Sony ALWAYS overprices their hardware. In all of their divisions. yea i know, kind of like the $100 20gb hdd and $100 wi fi adapter that ms sold.I haven't payed $250 for XBL, I feel I've payed whatever it is I've payed.moose_knuckler

yet again, No Case has made it past a preliminary I.E a judge hears the case, and okays the go ahead of legal matters. the way you make it out its as though they did.
By the way I've been a part of xbox live since november 2002, and my account is paid up till Janurary 2013.

No, answer the question. Tell him it feels great to have an awesome console that's missing NOTHING. That has it all and like SONY would say it simply does EVERYTHING.[QUOTE="moose_knuckler"]I haven't payed $250 for XBL, I feel I've payed whatever it is I've payed.GiveMeSomething

he doesn't care what he's paid because he loves the service.I've spent about $340 on Xbox Live. I've been a member for six years, seven if you include the most recent price drop in preparation for the price hike. I don't see how a Bravia or a VAOI being literally overpriced has any relation to the gaming segment. The TV and laptop segment don't follow a loss-leader strategy.

All businesses are in the business of making money, otherwise they wouldn't be a business. The merits of the method, however, would constituted a different discussion.[QUOTE="shinrabanshou"]
