Yet another adolescent FPS aimed at teenagers. I am sure it is a very good one, and tells a great story, but I have grown out of that phase now.
Bought Rabbids Go Home, Boy and his Blob Wii, and Left 4 Dead 2 PC instead.
Okay maybe I am still a bit of a kid playing l4d!

Not a freaking chance in hell I would pay $70 for a game that lasts 4-5 hours. Despicable milkage for sure. Activision should have marketed this for what it really is, which is a multiplayer online fragfest. A pretty darned good one too if the reviews are to be trusted, but if you're the type who enjoys a good solid single player campaign (& a lot of people do) then you have been bent over & shafted royally by this game. Honestly I don't know why they even bothered with it at all, it should have been left on the cutting room floor & sold as online only. Now let's all go back to praising & lovingRobert Kotick for the benevolent loving CEO that he is......Oh wait....................
*puts $70 towards sensible purchace*
I really don't see what there is to be proud of. You missed a GOTY contender, congrats on being "different".

The campaign is amazing, but its just short. But every second is fun, and theres a ton of variety. Also, MW2's multiplayer is in no way a "fragfest" this time around. I've probably got about 6-8 hours on the multiplayer so far and I don't think I've been killed by a grenade at any time more than 3-4 times.

I don't see how anyone is getting ripped off? Would every credible reviewer out there call this a great game if it was a "ripoff"?

Taking a used copy of the disc out of a retailers hands potentially makes somebody else buy it brand new...

Yeah I'm not liking what they did with him either. And I doubt they'll ever go back to the series' roots.

you can play spec ops solo as well, which adds more to the SP experience, and i only paid 10 quid for it, so i expect iw ould see more value in the game than those that bought it full price[QUOTE="ColdP1zza"][QUOTE="Jettero-Heller"]

I didn't buy it although I have played it and to be honest it's not that great anyway. It's definitely polished as hell in pretty much every way but it's just not that much fun imo and felt just a bit too linear and forced.please tell me there is a few people who didnt buy. there are few resons people bought it...
they liked previous cods and got this, well they were milked, nothing great about this fps
or pressure from friends, instead of buying a good fps, like kz2 or halo odst...they decided to buy same game and just play, even though some didnt want to buy it.... my friends begged me to go buy it so i can play with them. but my money goes only on a good game...
cod turned to be like nfs, fifa, pes, wwe...all the people who buy them every year are getting milked like crazy....
planbfreak4eva
I was stupid enough to buy the game. The campaign was great, but too short. And I don't play online, so for me it was not worth the money.
I didn't buy, though I don't believe that it's anything to be proud about. It's just not my type of game.
goty contender? dude i have killzone 2, infamous, uc2. those are games which are awesome and be must buy, and could be goty...not an average fps...congrats on being the same as the other 9 million people who just bought a game not because he wanted to but because he had to due to everyone buying, i have an opinion buddy, u dontI really don't see what there is to be proud of. You missed a GOTY contender, congrats on being "different".

Yeah really. I got the game day one and I love every bit of it. I don't understand how I'm getting milked if I love every bit of the game?No I bought it and enjoyed it.
I'm not one of the people who decided not to buy it just to be different

Yes? They don't have to pay for games, they don't care. The PC version was 20% more for no reason, which is something at least 50% of the critics failed to mention. Not to mention the whole dedicated server situation. Now there's a rumor that there's DLC on the disc. And there is a point where it ceases to matter how good a campaign is and longevity starts playing a bigger role. 5 hours is below that point as far as I'm concerned. Of course people should inform themselves of things like that before they plonk down the cash.
even before this whole thing with no dedicated servers happened i wasnt going to buy it. MW2 is the same like cod4 if you have already cod4 u dont need the game.
I bought it and returned it the next day. I hated it from start to finish, which is just plain strange, as everyone i talk to freakin' loves it and i liked COD2 and COD4 very much.Doctor-McNinjaThe campaign was a disapointment compared to 4 but the online is delicious.

Yeah i thought the campaign was mega-fail, but i just couldn't enjoy the online at all. I played 15 games then decided i'd be better off returning it. A few things about it annoyed the heck out of me: 1) No matchmaking whatsoever. They make it LOOK like there's some matchmaking going on, but there isn't at all. You're getting put into a random game full of randomly selected players. In my very first game as a level one, i was in a game full of level 40s, 50s and even over 60s. Needless to say i got my ass handed to me. 2) They've taken the most infuriating aspect of COD4 - giving the players who are best at the game bonuses, while giving the people who are losing nothing - and made it 100 times worse. Now, all it takes is for the other team to get a slight lead on you, and then you'll find one kill-streak bonus after the other bombarding you to the point where you're just getting dominated. 3) They need to drastically improve the perks and weapons available to you at the start. Having no perks and a terrible, burst-fire weapon with no scope in my first few games against people who are already much better than me anyway (being level 60s), only to have them armed with awesome perks and freakin' scoped heart-beat sensor-equipped death rifles is just so annoying. In COD4 you at least had some weapons and perks that you could use to compete. In MW2 you just get dominated for about 25 games or so until you finally unlock some decent stuff. I play multiplayer for quick bursts of fun, not long, grueling efforts to unlock something which might let me have some fun.

I didn't buy it because the game isn't interesting to me. It's a generic military FPS, if I wanted one I would of got one years ago when they became big. I'll save my 60 bucks on a non-fps with strong single player.
way to go tc. real boycotters wont even play the game doesnt matter if u buy it used, new or rent it or borrow from friends, a real boycotter wouldnt even give it play time. i just lol when people say they just get it used or rent it so they wont get their money lol it doesnt matter ur still playing their game n helping their online activity. its like ur a dj n u want to boycott from buying their music so u get it used but u still play their music in the air waves n the music is still getting air play lol
