i didnt' buy it. not because of the terrorist scene, i think the game would probably actually be pretty fun. no, i didn't buy it because i don't like EA/IW's code of business ethics as of late. the whole "we're in a recession so we should charge people more" business model isn't one i can stand behind.
I have no intentions of buying it..Military murder simulators don't appeal to me,and the ignorant fratboy/meatbag community yelling annoying crap over the mic is just icing to the cake.
I mean just because you have the ability to speak, does not mean you should.
I love how everyone is so proud of themselves because they didn't buy a video games. I wouldn't buy MW2 because I don't like the look of it, and havn't liked CoD for a long while. I don't like Activision, but if I thought I would enjoy the game it's not going to stop me from playing it. People have diffrent tastes, and for the most part people don't care if the company behind the title is "evil". And why should they? It's a video game, the most important part is that it's fun. You're supposed boycotts wont affect a game that sells over 5 million with ease. Still, there arebettergames that deserve more.
With all due respect, you're pretty pathetic if you feel proud of yourself for not buying a game.
You aren't "Sticking it to The Man" or fighting some big evil power, so stop having these delusions of grandeur.
You're worse than those religious nutjobs that stand on street corners preaching about the apocalypse. No offence to any religious people, I know the vast majority of you guys are perfectly sane.
[QUOTE="hot114"][QUOTE="Doctor-McNinja"]I bought it and returned it the next day. I hated it from start to finish, which is just plain strange, as everyone i talk to freakin' loves it and i liked COD2 and COD4 very much.Doctor-McNinjaThe campaign was a disapointment compared to 4 but the online is delicious. Yeah i thought the campaign was mega-fail, but i just couldn't enjoy the online at all. I played 15 games then decided i'd be better off returning it. A few things about it annoyed the heck out of me: 1) No matchmaking whatsoever. They make it LOOK like there's some matchmaking going on, but there isn't at all. You're getting put into a random game full of randomly selected players. In my very first game as a level one, i was in a game full of level 40s, 50s and even over 60s. Needless to say i got my ass handed to me. 2) They've taken the most infuriating aspect of COD4 - giving the players who are best at the game bonuses, while giving the people who are losing nothing - and made it 100 times worse. Now, all it takes is for the other team to get a slight lead on you, and then you'll find one kill-streak bonus after the other bombarding you to the point where you're just getting dominated. etc.
I didn't buy it becuase of issues i had witht he PC version of the game. I decided I didn't want it. Instead I'm holding out for something else. However, I'm not "proud" of it. What reason do i have to be proud? What makes you some sort of better person becuase you didn't buy what is potentially a great game. If it doesn't suit your tatstes thats fine but all I'm seeing is a bunch of ignorant statements shouted from atop a high horse.
besides from the lag, i really like it. i just hope that they realize to put a dedicated server, which is really imposible to happened.
dualwielding is a gimmick at best, you are not able to aim your gun AT ALL only hipfire, its just a (stylish) alternative to the shotgun. The game has a few unbalancing aspects but dual-wielding is definitely not one of them.I didnt buy it. In my opinion it is turning out like Halo. I mean dual weilding? In a battlefield situation? I'm sorry, but no.

I didn't buy it.
I thought people were overreacting when they made a big thing about no dedicated servers.
Then I realized everytime I play L4D, I'm PLAYING a dedicated server. And now I love them because they are always offering something different.
Now I'm definitely not buying MW2.

After playing BF:BC, it's just the better game imo...comparing that to CoD4 i don't see MW2 being too different. BC More realistic, less nooby, and more fun. That's another way its turning out like Halo, the HUGE following it's getting and the blind fan's who would buy MW3 even if it was a golf game...
No I couldn't pass up buying the game from Amzon for $48 with a $20 dollars towards future game purchase to check this out. I really wanted a splitscreen game to play with my g/f and special ops is fun. Essentially I got the game for $28 so even if the the SP is only 5 hours is worth it in my book.
please tell me there is a few people who didnt buy. there are few resons people bought it...
they liked previous cods and got this, well they were milked, nothing great about this fps
or pressure from friends, instead of buying a good fps, like kz2 or halo odst...they decided to buy same game and just play, even though some didnt want to buy it.... my friends begged me to go buy it so i can play with them. but my money goes only on a good game...
cod turned to be like nfs, fifa, pes, wwe...all the people who buy them every year are getting milked like crazy....
I haven't bought MW2 i.e still playing Dragon Age on my Sony Vaio FW45GJ laptop.[QUOTE="Omustu"]dualwielding is a gimmick at best, you are not able to aim your gun AT ALL only hipfire, its just a (stylish) alternative to the shotgun. The name of the game is modern warfare not timesplitters.
I don't own the game nor I plan to buy it, but that doesn't mean I'm helping out the "Hate Wagon" I'm just not interested in shooters at the moment. Also those that are calling people "tools" for buying MW2 should find a new hobby.
I didn't buy it because I'm getting tired of first person shooters. We need more original games like Tales of Vesperia and Sonic Unleashed.
I'm so sick of shooters overpopulating the PS3 that I just had to go back to my PS2 and play some good old JRPGs. (I recently bought Tales of Legendia because I loved Tales of Symphonia and wanted to try some more Tales games.)

That's another problem with the game, it really isn't Timesplitters. They should stop making Call of Duty and procede their funds to the Timesplitters devs.I did not buy it, nor am I ever planning on buying it.
It sickens me that games like this are so popular and have even made it onto the news. Everybody in my English class (including my professor) were aware of this game...I find it annoying when people make ridiculous claims that this game is the greatest game of all time..
It doesn't have the best story (or even a good one), single player is really short, it has some downgrades from MW1, and it doesn't even have the best multiplayer (I hate the closed environments..I prefer Battlefield).
I hate how people get so easily swayed by popular opinion. I got a little mad during my English class and started a huge debate about how it wasn't anywhere close to being the best game, let alone a good game at that. I was also playing OoT during this debate so I had a legit reason to get mad, lol.
I also later got into an argument with this other kid in my class who was writing his paper about how Apple made the best computers.......this class made me facepalm so much..
I am a proud person who will get it eventually and planned to from the start(Because friends are playing is one reason). Whether anyone else likes it or not does not matter

hmmm...arent there 6 billion ppl in the world?
I didn't buy it and thank god I didn't. The single player campaign wasn't bad by any means, but the campaign in MW1 was better imo. Of course that's when it was brand new and everything but I thought the story was a bit weak and I only enjoyed the few scenes where you didn't have to kill people and could sneak by. Also it was frustrating watching my A.I. buddies get ignored by the enemy while I soaked up the majority of the bullets, resulting in a quick death while my pals ran right past the enemy. I'm surprise Killzone 2 got bashed on the same thing and nobody has said a word on this for MW2. The online play is a bit more interesting now, but for the most part not much different from MW1. Is the game good? Most definitely. Is it worth $60? Ehhhhh probably not.please tell me there is a few people who didnt buy. there are few resons people bought it...
