I hate the fact that hip hop is taking over as the lead genre of music in games.

Why do game Devs use Hip Hop in games.......... Ummm cause its been the Leading Genre in Album Sales the last 5-10 years.... and 360 users can use Custom Playlist btw why do they use so much rock in Video games the use just as much rock as they do Hip Hop... even tho hip hop is kindof dead its not dead completely there are sum artists that are good aka THE GAME, NAS, JAY-Z, KANYE WEST, SNOOP DOGG, XIZIBIT, PALL WALL, MIKE JONES, SLIM THUG and there lots more too so dont be hating on Hip HopEubanks360

No I listen to rap. Gym Class Heroes arguably are now mainstream but a few years ago not many people knew of them..

And with some rappers yes, they do sound the same. 36mafia though actually does sound pretty much garbage/mainstream. Young Joc is as mainstream as you can go without mentioning MIMS.  When I say mainstream I mean the garbage rappers who don't diferentiate themselves from everyone else. Im even wanting to put Jeezy in their too. Although his melody and beats are probably some of the best but his rapping is below average. He has no lyrical skill whatsoever. 

Ill agree that Kanye, Snoop, Common, lupe and gym are all different but most of the crap that is rap is from people like UNK, David Banner, Lil Jon and Lil scrappy, T-pain (hip hop), Cam'ron and so forth. YEs there is good artist in the Hip hop community but most of it is the same ol same ol. And even the ones that are good still rap about the same thing the majority of times.

The term flop became popular because of hip-hop. I never said hip-hop invent it. You think we use the term "flop" beacause it was in 1893? Just like Bling-Bling. I'm going to give you guys my two cents on this:

1) Hip-hop is nowhere near my favorite genre of music, especially with more talentless ones becoming popular because they make new "dance" moves. However, I understand that there are great, underrated rappers there are. Hip-hop is basically like poetry: anyone can make, some just make it better. I also like rappers like Kanye West and Eminem (not because he's white) because they can make some good rap.

2) I don't like some hip-hop because of some of the garbage being accepted by the mainstream. It has nothing to do with race. I really, really don't like a lot of emo, either.

3) Yes, I love (mostly classic) rock. Good rockers don't just smash guitars. Rock is made of some very talented musicians. And yes, I play Guitar Hero. A lot.

4) Some of you are taking hip-hop like all of it is what you hear on the radio. There's a variety of hip-hop, you know.

5) I honestly think that videogames would be in a good direction to have a variety of music. However, there are still customizable soundtracks.

6) What is this thread doing in system wars?
