Absolutely, he was making outrageous claims based on 2 games(which he ended up only playing not even half of 1). That was the 1st post and the rest goes on "BS you dont even own a PC it doesn't add up". Jumping on him early on the thread was justified and is how we exposed him as a liar.

You played 2 games, and on medium settings, whcih I think your computer can handle more then that. And then you don't like pc gaming.

Kind of just sounds like gaming just isnt the hobby for you. I'd suggest getting a new hobby and stop gaming altogether. Your pre-concieved bias towards console gaming probably didn't help. As you probably wanted yourself not to like pc gaming, who knows why after spending all that money on a pc. You just subconsiously made a decision beforehand that you didn't like pc gaming, so thats what you experianced. PC gaming is great, and alot better for FPS' and RTS games. As those genres really lend themselves to the controls of the keyboard and mouse.

You have only 1GB RAM, thats your problem right there :P get 2x 1 GB sticks and make it 3GB, you will be maxing those games easily ... but right now ... with only 1GB ram, your system wont play much at all within the last 3 years well.

The Witcher is fantastic.. play it all the way thru adn then come let us know how you liked it. Its a great game.

If you really want to see the graphics and things a PC can do then upgrade a few things on your computer and try CRYSIS.. the mother of all FPS, simply amazing game :)

Ive recently got a new PC for gaming and music production and ive been playing alot less on my consoles lately.

Crysis, The Witcher, Civilization 4, Counterstrike:Source, Diablo2 have kept me very busy and happy the last while. PC gaming is as good as ever IMO :)

If it wasnt for Lost Odyssey i wouldnt have any of my consoles on lately.

Yes, but I assume he has 2x 512's , with 2 slots free, so he mayaswell get 2x 1GB (cheap ) so that it can last longer, and run more at once.

no joke.. I can't play Halo 3 anymore because I can't stand hearing the n-bomb every 10 seconds... And, yes I did try other servers... 1 hour of switching matches and it was either a kid screaming or the n-bomb every 10 seconds...

I like Halo 3 MP(efinitely not my favorite though) and I don't ALWAYS get that but it is just too much...

You can change your setting to hear only people on your freinds list. Seeing I play at off peak time I never get this problem anyway but...

Do people actually communicate in Xbox 360 gaming sessions? My experience with Halo 3 has been that a few teammates might say something at the beginning of the game like "let's have three charge in and one stay back" and that's it. Every couple of games there is a kid singing, yelling, or eating the microphone that I have to mute.

I feel the game is still a blast though, and I communicate with my friends.

It's the same thing on PC - if you're playing with you friends, you set up a voice channel to chat, or use the chat function in the game to text each other. Otherwise? Communication depends on who you're playing with - it's generally less between strangers.

So recently I upgraded my PC to a "capable" current gen gaming PC. GeForce 8800, 2 GB RAM, 250 GB HD, Athlon dual core, etc. etc. I decided to get the games that I thought would be most appealing to a longtime console gamer.

My experience was mixed. I enjoyed the multiplayer aspect of SC, but did not enjoy the lack of communication between me and the other competitors. You know, it took me a long time to figure out that all of your Anti-PC Arguement posts were sarcastic jokes and that you weren't being serious with any of them. I used to think that you were a fanboy, but now that I see the humor in your posts, I enjoy reading them.

a person can not judge pc gaming (or at least pc fpss) until they have played css - that's my 2 cents.

if you like fps games my suggestion is that you buy the orange box along with the source multiplayer pack (which includes css) and buy battlefield 2 ($10 on amazon). see if that changes your mind at all about pc gaming. at the very least get css which is like $20 on steam
