It means you can't use standards because it doesn't work. You can't compare games based on scores, if anyone would actually read the review guide you would know this. You can say that a Great game is a Great game regardless of the console... but you can't say which is better based on teh review or the score. It's not that precise.

Tell that to your sheep brethren.

Well by that logic it would seem that a 9.5 on 360 is less then a 9.5 on the Wii and that the Wii has higher standards. I mean Halo 3 and Super Mario Galaxy both scored the same right but only one got GOTY :roll:

Hell Crysis scored 9.5 as well. Yes there are standards for platforms such as a console game having 40 plus people in multiplayer is special while on PC its nothing special. But you are just reaching for anything you can grab on to.

Its ONE friggin game people!!!! Don't just blindly tell me about GOTY awards. tell me why it was GOTY. GOTY is not a friggin review, people.

And just because SMG won GOTY doesn't mean all Wii games are as good. Doesn't mean SSBB is a lock for GOTY '08. That's just false.

So this guy claims that SMG is only ONE GAME! :cry: Because it destroys his whole arguement. You want to know why it got GOTY. Then go look at GR and look at every review and read them. There is not one review that is AA. They are all AAA and AAAA. Nobody is saying that SSBB is a lock for GOTY there is no such thing. But you are right a 9.0 on PS3/360 does not equal a 9.0 on the Wii. It equals less. Because a Wii 9.5 > then a PC and 360 9.5. PS3 doesn't have 9.5's.

Therefore, if saying "Wii has 5 AAA's and PS3 only has 3 AAA's, teh Wii is waaay better," you are saying a Wii 9.0 equals a PS3 9.0.

its because you are taking something that they are saying and putting a ridiculous spin on it.

Yes. 9.5 might drop to 9.2. Its a godsend that in the gaming press, they still take gameplay into account when they review a game.

The way I see it a 9.5 on Wii = 9.5 on 360/PS3. Let me explain why.

1) It has been already said that the final score is not the average score, and is more a representative of how good the game is overall.

2) The better a game is the less graphics matter. For example even on the same platform, if two games are equally as great and one looks better than the other, the fact is they will still get similar scores.

3) Even if we were to agree that Wii games should be penalised when compared to PS3/360 games, that penalty can never be enough to change the final score since .5 is too much just for a difference in graphics.
