Those scores are meaningless

one person reviews a game, so if they like one over the other they are bound to rate it higher.

More people like Half Life though and i agree with them, the game has more substance.

The Half Life engine has influenced the game industry much more than the Halo engine has.

I prefer Half-Life over Halo. Don't care for your stats. All those scores are their opinions, not mine.

Fanboys are so funny, using biased reviews of a overrated game as factual evidence of said game's superiority over another (clearly better) game. ^^

half-Life 2 > Halo 2

As influential as Half-Life was quite frankly the game bored me at times. Half-Life 2 IMO is one of the few sequels to improve on the original.

Yeah, I guess Halo is one of them, because basically most console shooters score 9.5+ on almost all sites and are being called one of the greatest games ever and greatest shooters ever and are all commercially successful and have a great impact on the FPS genre.

What impact did Halo have on the genre, exactly? The only thing it did wsa popularize them more - put another way, prove that they could be done - on a console. This has nothing to do with the quality of the game, it simply brought what PC gamers had been enjoying for years to a more mainstream audience.

There's no need, I've been to internet cafes in south korea, phillipines and taiwan and everyone there plays CS. And internet cafe's are as common as convenience stores in oriental asia. A mention of Halo there will get you laughed at literally.

Or you can just look at all the games hosted on CS 1.6, CS: Condition Zero and CS: Source.
