IGN: Colecovision > Ps3. Top 25 all time consoles. (UPDATED)

ALright, 10-6 was released.

Some of you still haven't figured out that IGN is also basing this list off impact. Why did the 360 get put at 6th? Oh, did you read the list? Well they mentioned how it has "forever changed online gaming". So srsly, stop posting if you're uninformed on this list.

Anyways, as for what they haven't put in the list yet.

Top 5 to be released tomorrow, and the NES/SNES/PS2/Genesis have yet to be announced. Same goes for the Atari 2600 and Pong I believe. They also never listed any handhelds, but maybe that's just because they haven't been as important to the progression of gaming thus far.

Really hoping the NES hits #1 for what it did for the industry.

PSX was one of my favourite systems ever and easly my favourite Sony system. For sure in my top 5 with 360, Dreamcast, Megadrive and Snes

Cuz those consoles were better. Maybe it would rank higher if the PS3 wasnt like pretty much the same thing as the 360. Talk about how you ont take this list seriously all you want.. at the the ened of the day the PS3 gets whooped.

I think the Top 3 on their list will be:

My personal #1 of all timeis PS2 followed closely by SNES.

So let me get this straight... the Atari Jaguar and 5200 are rated higher than the PC-FX (which didn't even make the list) and the 7800 is better than the Master System, Saturn and Neo Geo?

On the other hand, I'm chuffed to bits that the Dreamcast came ahead of every 3D Nintendo system. :D

At least the nes, snes, and PS2 will be making IGN's top 5, howvever I strongly dissagree with the ps1 not being up there! And thats coming from someone who never even owned a PS1 :shock: (had a N64 but will admit defeat in that gen long past)

Atari 2600 is number 2. The console that destroyed video gaming in early 80s with an onslaught of terrible games like E.T. and a bad version of Pac-Man. I remember having this console and there is no reason why this console should be ranked above the SNES.

Haha my cousin's bought ET the extra testicle back in the day. As a young child i knew the 2600 was fail. I mean, when i played the Pac Man at the arcades it looked so much better than the 2600 version. Only game on the 2600 i did like was Pit Fall and that crap was hard for a 5 year old to play.

Hey man Bonk's Adventure, that Vigilante game and Road Rash was fun.. and Legendary Axe. Blazing Lazers too.. But yeah, that piece of crap was fail. One of 20 to 30 consoles i bought that is now dead.

Hey I agree, those games (and some others) were good, but it really only had maybe 2 years in the US before it basically died, so the library over here is much more limited. It just doesn't belong above the Saturn, Gamecube, or PS3 if we're talking the US and speaking personally the PS1 should be above the PS2 every day of the week.

Nor should the Dreamcast be above the N64, the 360 above the PS1, or the NES above the SNES.

I went straight to #1 and it wasn't the PS2. List lost all credibility.

My top 5:

1 - Megadrive

2 - Snes

3 - Playstation 1

4 - Xbox 360

5 - Nes

Amiga500 is my favourite system but´s not a console.
